Finally somebody else speaks about it, I’ve been saying this for years. The fact that 50 was shot the day after he recorded a freestyle, dissing Ja and Preme, is extremely significant. Especially considering it was his direct response to the Hit Factory “stabbing” This the first time it’s ever been discussed publicly aside from me trying to share it through my socials, and Domination was actually there. Hopefully this will finally start to fill in the gap that every single “content creator” has failed to hit even once when telling 50’s story.

Here’s two examples of what it ACTUALLY looks like to “pay homage” Taking someone’s bars word for word and people just giving it the “homage” pass, is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Jacking somebody’s bars word for word and using it to diss them isn’t “homage” and that’s happened plenty. The only time you can really pay homage while using someone’s bars word for word, is if there’s a callback to it or leading into it. Can also pay homage by interpolating and adding your own style to the sound and bars. Side note, just cuz somebody interpolates something doesn’t mean it’s paying homage, millions of times it’s been used to do the exact opposite. Lastly, just cuz someone might change a few words doesn’t give it a pass. There’s so many variables that go into these things and tbh some people just don’t care. Example is Drake on “Chicago Freestyle” using Em’s “Superman”, the only lyric change was “B*tch” to “Woman”. Eminem might love the record and appreciate it, but Drake is still 10000000% Swagger Jackin😂

The MLB unfortunately did have to reject some audio from the game. “He’ll want to kill himself after this game” “I’ll tell ya Tim, this guy should be beaten to death with baseball bats” Anyways, why wouldn’t the game get licensing and approval?? It’s absolutely legendary.

Looking back on it, this verse shows just how much the game has changed. In 1999, Cam was taking shots at a small percentage of rappers. Today, it would be seen as a diss track towards 90% of the game. “The way cats biting is despicable Pitiful, unoriginal, this sh*t is miserable I'm a businessman, I ain't tryin to be lyrical Damn, it's a miracle, thought y'all was veterans? Wish your flow was ill, huh? Mine was your medicine” “New York let’s stop bitin' and start writin' And start mountin, when the f*ck we start bouncin?” Somehow we got to where we are today and it’s just become something that’s expected.

Bobcats Gerald Wallace was something special man. One of the greatest and most underrated two way players of all time. His prime years being spent on the Bobcats overshadowed his career and legacy, but the streets will never forget. Only non Center to average over 2 blocks and 2 steals per game in a single season.

Got that right, Storm P was lowkey nice with it. During college he signed to Queen Latifah and was part of “The Unit”, he actually played basketball at Cornell too which ultimately led to him starring in Cookout Pretty unique story, think Superstar Jay managed him too when he tried coming back to music.

50 got shot a few days after this dropped on a local mixtape, safe to say some people had enough. Crazy thing is they literally tried protecting him by cutting out words and an entire other verse, obviously didn’t work. This was the last verse he spit before his voice changed.

So you've never listened to Sticky Fingaz before and the first time you hear him rap is when he outshined Eminem in shock value acting as psychotic as possible..... I get the initial response, but leaping to that conclusion is just wrong. Encourage you to actually go listen to his music before making assumptions. Sticky ain’t for everyone but he’s one of the greats in a lot of people’s books. One of the most underrated storytellers of all time.
