A national blue plaque has been unveiled to the Reverend Wilbert Awdry, creator of 'Thomas the Tank Engine'. 🚂 The plaque at his former home, 30 Rodborough Avenue in Stroud, Gloucestershire, marks 80 years since 'The Three Railway Engines' was published.

We've discovered a bathhouse at the Birdoswald Roman Fort at Hadrian's Wall. 🛁 After 4 seasons of excavation at Birdoswald, there have been significant discoveries. This video looks explores one dig site, where we have found incredible remains of the bathhouse furnace room.

Some streets in Covent Garden are still lit by gas. 🌟 There are around 1,300 working gas lamps left in the capital. Responding to concern about their future from The London Gasketeers and The Victorian Society , more than 50 gas lamps in Westminster have been listed in 2024.
