🎙️ Kon Knueppel on having his teammates over for dinner at his family home in Milwaukee last night: "Taking the bus down my street, going home, that was weird. And a bunch of NBA players in my house. It was a lot of big people, but my family enjoyed it." Kon II Knueppel Pregame:

🎙️ Kon Knueppel on the family dinner: "It was special." "Mason (Plumlee), one of our vets, 35, year 13-14 for him. And he was like, 'I've never done this before, never gone to a teammate's house.' So that was cool to hear him say that. It was a special hour and a half for us."

🎙️ Coby White: "I've never been on a team this dangerous." "It could be a back-and-forth game and then you hit one run, and then you look up and you're up 20, and then you're up 30. The main thing for me is, we're explosive, but we're starting to hold those leads when we do get them and continue to build on them. That's the impressive thing for me too." 🎙️ On Moussa Diabate: "He's one of the most unselfish bigs that I've ever played with." "A lot of bigs get an offensive rebound, their first instinct is to go up... his first instinct is to find a shooter. That's huge for us in terms of dagger threes and creating second-chance opportunities. What Moussa does for the team can never go unnoticed."

🎙️ Charles Lee: "When (Kon Knueppel) had his draft workout, there was this level of seriousness with him. I walked over at one point to say something to him during a drill and I made a joke, and he looked at me like, 'This isn't funny. I'm here to work. I'm here to get drafted.'" "And I was like, 'I like this guy.' You can coach him hard. You can say what you need to say, and he can get the message without getting too emotional... he's just even-keeled. And I felt that during the season, he just doesn't back down from anybody. He's not afraid of a moment. We saw it a little bit at Duke, where he can be the guy that can play off of (Cooper) Flagg, and then all of a sudden Flagg goes down and he can be the guy, dominate the ball, and play with the ball." "LaMelo (Ball)'s on the court, Brandon (Miller)'s on the court, he can play with them, but then if they get hurt, he can step up and be the guy. He's so effective in a lot of different ways and he picks things up so quickly. How people are guarding him or watching Donovan Mitchell do his little high pickup and get fouled, now Kon's trying to do the high pickup and he gets fouled... it's fun to watch him play the game and how he approaches every day." 🎙️ Russillo: "I couldn't believe the way he saw the game at that age... my favorite part of him is, 'Alright, pick whatever other four you want, he'll figure out a way to fit in with the other four.' Doesn't matter, like any combination of the other four guys, he'll find a way to impact it."

🎙️ Charles Lee on the Charlotte Hornets' draft process: "It's extremely collaborative. The best organizations I've been a part of, they have that." "When I was in Atlanta, (Mike Budenholzer) was able to have a good relationship with Wes Wilcox. When we went to Milwaukee, it was Jon (Horst) and Bud. And then seeing Boston, and Joe (Mazzulla) and Brad (Stevens) being able to work together, that's how you effectively put together championship teams. You have to have that dialogue." "Jeff (Peterson) and his group do a really good job of running the numbers and understanding the salary cap and what pieces fit together. From a coaching perspective, we can talk about the day-to-day and these personalities get along well together on the court or these types of attributes help us defensively or offensively." "As we went through that draft process, it was good to say, 'Hey, this is where we see our team right now. This is what we saw day-to-day, at practice, during games, what we struggled with, what we're good at, and then what player is best going to help not only our environment, but also the on-court product.' And I think we were able to figure that out at a pretty high level..." (📹 The Ryen Russillo Show) — —

🎙️ Miles Bridges: "I lost a lot of weight." "I'm moving like I was in 2022, I think, so I'm feeling good. Our offense is based on us running, so in order for me to be great in this offense, and in this defense, to play both sides of the floor, I gotta be in great shape."

🎙️ LaMelo Ball: "I didn't start today so I could finish the back end." "I take full responsibility, that was my fault. That last lob, could've dribbled that out and some silly possession before that. The last pass, I should've shot that instead of putting Bull in that position."

🎙️ Charles Lee on how tough it is to prepare for a guy like Derrick White: "Not tough at all. He's not that good." 😂 "I'm confident, humbly confident, but I think that our guys have proven all year, we've been really good on the second night of a back-to-back..."

🎙️ Kon Knueppel on whether any of his brothers are better than him at the same age: "No." 😂 "They're not as enthralled that their brother's in the NBA. It's more so that, 'Oh, you play with LaMelo' or that stuff… they're excited to see the other guys."

🎙️ Kon Knueppel: "This was awesome... Cooper (Flagg), he played like the best player we've played all season tonight." "It was good to get the win, I would've been pretty pissed off. He just had a heck of a game. He's a heck of a player, and he's gonna have a heck of a career."

🎙️ Carmelo Anthony on whether he cares that LaMelo Ball took the "Melo" nickname: "No, never... Shorty is nice." "You know what's crazy? I was in Portland and we about to play the Hornets. I never met him. I was out there before he got on the court, working out... so he comes on the court, the media, everybody just looked at, like... he started walking, and before he about to go shoot, I walked over to him. I was like, 'Yo, listen, man... f-ck what everybody talking about. You good! Don't ever worry about me having a problem with.' You know what I'm saying? It was just something, I had to do that because of social media. If I didn't say nothing, they would've caught the video of him coming, me walking off..." 😅 (7PM in Brooklyn 📹
