🗣️ Coby White: "I'm right where I'm supposed to be, I'm right where I belong.'" "Being back in NC, it definitely sparked the light inside me. I wouldn't say that I was losing my love and joy for the game, but I was trying to search for it. And when I got here, that lit a spark."

![🎙️ Tim MacMahon: "They have a pretty significant haul of draft capital to work with, but it's going to be a patient build around Brandon Miller and Kon Knueppel." "They didn't do [the LaMelo trade] thinking it was gonna make them better this season. They did that thinking it would allow them to build a team that they did believe could do some real damage in the playoffs. That's not this year, it's probably not next year. Now, they are absolutely a team that's positioned to be aggressive. They're loaded with picks." (📹](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2111100245639672008/media/HUwjdQMXQAEsyQF.jpg)

🎙️ Moussa Diabate: "Life is gonna hit you in different ways, but guess what? You just gotta keep going because if you don't, who will?" Taj Gibson kept telling Moose in 2024-25 to keep showing up, that his opportunity was gonna come, and he was right. "That's my OG forever."

🎙️ Grayson Allen: "I'm not concerned with winning anybody over. I play hard, I play with heart, and I really want this team to be successful and win. I'm willing to do less, do more, whatever is asked of me to help the team win. And I think after a while, people appreciate that."

🎙️ Kon Knueppel on having his teammates over for dinner at his family home in Milwaukee last night: "Taking the bus down my street, going home, that was weird. And a bunch of NBA players in my house. It was a lot of big people, but my family enjoyed it." Kon II Knueppel Pregame:

🎙️ Bill Simmons on the LaMelo Ball trade: "I'm at A- or A for Charlotte... I couldn't believe the trade for Minnesota. I f-cking hated it." "I get it on paper; LaMelo Ball would solve a lot of problems that you had with Anthony Edwards last year. There's one problem: He doesn't f-cking play. He's played two seasons of the last six. Last year, he played big minutes early, got hurt, came back. I watched a ton of Charlotte last year. They were using him like a race car on Sundays, just driving him slowly around the block. He averaged 27.5 MPG from mid-November on. They were really, really careful about not getting him hurt again, almost like they knew they were gonna trade him this summer." "He's the least durable good guard of the last 25 years: Six seasons, 9,400 minutes, zero playoff games, which puts him on this crazy list of guys who have averaged 20 PPG in their first six seasons but have played less than 10,000 minutes. And it's basically just him, Ja Morant and Zion (Williamson)? That's it? He's not reliable! I think he has metal in his ankle. This is not like, 'Oh, Steph Curry had ankle injuries, too'... LaMelo's injuries are WAY worse than Steph Curry's were." 🎙️ Zach Lowe: "I think when you combine this trade with the (Miles) Bridges trade that happened today, Charlotte has come out looking awesome... great work by the Hornets who continue to just kill it under their new regime." 🎙️ Bill Simmons reading a fan email: "Imagine you're dating an absolute smoke show in college who was tons of fun, but completely insane. She's amazing in bed and at parties, but she also goes through your phone when you're not looking. Also, she's a horrible driver. You know it's not gonna last, and that she isn't the kind of girl you'd introduce to your parents, so you break up. Deep down, you know she wasn't a long-term solution, but when she's gone, you just feel alone and that sucks. That's how it feels to be a Hornets fan right now." 😕 🎙️ Zach Lowe: "I was trying to figure out where that was going... it landed in a good NBA place, actually. Good email." (📹

🎙️ Kon Knueppel on the family dinner: "It was special." "Mason (Plumlee), one of our vets, 35, year 13-14 for him. And he was like, 'I've never done this before, never gone to a teammate's house.' So that was cool to hear him say that. It was a special hour and a half for us."

🎙️ Brian Windhorst: "I think 7th is aggressive here, because ultimately this team still needs cornerstone players." 🎙️ Tim MacMahon: "They think they have two, but I don't think either of those guys are first-team All-NBA in the future type of players, in Kon Knueppel and Brandon Miller." The Hoop Collective on the Hornets in ESPN's NBA Future Power Rankings:

🎙️ Miles Bridges: "I lost a lot of weight." "I'm moving like I was in 2022, I think, so I'm feeling good. Our offense is based on us running, so in order for me to be great in this offense, and in this defense, to play both sides of the floor, I gotta be in great shape."

![Miles Bridges is getting "a ton of interest" around the league, per Shams Charania. "They already got some trade calls in on [Naz Reid], but the plan is right now to keep him. This is a team that could still shift the roster around a little bit if they want."](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2070353098074136873/media/HLtfNOZXcAAwnTD.jpg)
🎙️ Coby White: "I've never been on a team this dangerous." "It could be a back-and-forth game and then you hit one run, and then you look up and you're up 20, and then you're up 30. The main thing for me is, we're explosive, but we're starting to hold those leads when we do get them and continue to build on them. That's the impressive thing for me too." 🎙️ On Moussa Diabate: "He's one of the most unselfish bigs that I've ever played with." "A lot of bigs get an offensive rebound, their first instinct is to go up... his first instinct is to find a shooter. That's huge for us in terms of dagger threes and creating second-chance opportunities. What Moussa does for the team can never go unnoticed."

🎙️ LaMelo Ball: "I didn't start today so I could finish the back end." "I take full responsibility, that was my fault. That last lob, could've dribbled that out and some silly possession before that. The last pass, I should've shot that instead of putting Bull in that position."
