Watching Eerie, Indiana's 'ATM With A Heart Of Gold' in 2026 is absolutely chilling! An episode in 1991 about an ATM with AI that learns to be your best friend so you'll never leave it. The darkest part to me was the storyline with Simon. A kid so lonely that a machine remembering his name was enough to make him never want to leave. Tell me that's not exactly where we're at with AI and children today!

Every Canadian kid remembers when YTV had those little glowing green CGI bugs called Yokomites in 2001 that would randomly crawl across the screen and start eating the show you were watching. My summer camp actually got to visit The Zone set, and a producer told us they had to kill the whole bit early because parents were flooding the phone lines saying it was scaring their kids!

The town then sacrifices anyone older than 18 and digitizes them as energy for Vargos, so all of their parents are gone and the only ones left are Damian, his friends, Martin and the gang and a few other teenagers!
