#BerylStorm Houston Mayor's Office John Whitmire is asking everyone to please stay off the roads beginning late tonight and into the morning. As the storm makes landfall, the forecast calls for the Houston region to get up to 10 inches of rainfall. "Our worst enemy is complacency. We can't allow this storm to slip up on us," said Mayor Whitmire.

This morning, Mayor John Whitmire is paying his respects and supporting Houston Fire Dept Houston Firefighters following the line of duty death of a firefighter. Marcelo Garcia was a 10-year HFD veteran assigned to Station 23. He died when a wall collapsed during a building fire. Please keep his family and the fire department in your prayers.
