On #WorldRefugeeDay, we remember why people are forced to flee. From Sudan to Lebanon to Myanmar, war crimes, persecution, and violence are driving mass displacement. At the same time, governments across the world are restricting access to asylum, expanding detention, and shutting people out. The right to seek asylum is under threat globally. States have a responsibility to uphold it under international law.
