Asked Cade Cunningham why he didn’t seem satisfied with the Pistons’ win streak. “We just want to be our best version of ourselves, and tonight was not the best version of us. “So I’m not happy about that.”

Cade Cunningham took a break from the G.T. Cuts and threw on the Kobe 3 Low Protros tonight:

Isaiah Stewart on the Pistons’ mentality: “Back is against the wall. What you gonna do? We’re gonna fight. You gotta fight until the end. Let’s get back to the crib, protect the crib and take it one game at a time. The series is not over, we’re gonna keep fighting.”

Cade Cunningham on what he expects the atmosphere at LCA to be like for another Game 7: “It’s going to be a madhouse in there. The crowd is going to come to play as well. They want to insert themselves in the game, I know that. … We’re excited to get back to the crib.”

Asked Marcus Sasser where he feels he can be most effective offensively: “When I’m in that aggressive mindset, it could be shooting 3s or getting to the rack. Just drawing defenders, taking the load off Cade.”

Asked Ron Holland about the reception he got from LCA last night: “The crowd was amazing. I felt like that was my real first playoff run, so I felt the crowd a lot. I had turned down a shot and the crowd lost it. That was one of the moments I felt like I’m here now.”

Malik Beasley’s answer was simple when I asked if he’s ever been on a team this close: “No.” And clearly there’s real competition to see who makes the Call of Duty squad on a nightly basis.

Asked J.B. what he’s seeing on Cade’s turnovers: “They’re sending a lot of bodies to him. We’ve gotta help him by giving him more space, so that he has room to operate. Set screens for him, be a little more physical, get the guys off of him.”

Cade Cunningham on the final play of regulation: “We all saw the play, I think it’s pretty clear it was a foul. (Ausar) has the ball in his possession, he’s running forward, he gets tripped up. It’s a foul, it’s been a foul the whole rest of the game. Wasn’t a foul that time.”

Jalen Duren when asked if he felt he needed to be better tonight: “Absolutely, I feel like I could be better in all aspects of the game. Continue to grind and continue to grow.” When asked if he was frustrated on the bench: “My brothers handled it. Bball came in ready to go.”

J.B. on whether this season was a disappointment: “It’s not a disappointment at all. Not ever will I be disappointed in these guys. These guys, every single day, give us what they’ve got. … It’s a loss, it’s a tough loss. But that adjective will never be used with this group.”

Cade Cunningham on the Pistons’ progression: “It’s still pretty early. … We’re just now turning the corner as far as just not being losers. We were losers for a little stint in the NBA. But we all have winning habits, winning mentalities.

Asked Cade Cunningham how he can be more effective against the Cavs’ defense: “I’ve struggled against these things before, I’ve succeeded against these things before. … I pride myself on making sure my team has the best PG on the floor, I didn’t do a great job of that tonight.”

J.B. on Ausar’s minutes: “It’s one of those balancing acts you’re trying to figure out in the moment of what you need. Having more ball handlers on the floor, being able to take Cade off the ball. … We know how important AT is for us. He’ll have a consistent role, as always.”

Cade Cunningham after the Game 6 comeback: “It’s about us going and finishing the job. None of this stuff means anything if we don’t win Game 7.”

Asked Cade Cunningham his thoughts on the officiating down the stretch in Game 3: “If you catch the ball in the frontcourt and you cross the line, I thought that was backcourt. … I thought the time on the clock, I thought we could check that. It was decided not to.”

J.B. Bickerstaff on the free-throw disparity: “We didn’t do enough obviously to help ourselves, and I’ll start there. But ever since we came to Cleveland the whistle has changed. … It’s interesting since Kenny made his comments publicly about us, the whistle has changed.”
