At Umstead Park in Raleigh and saw this guy. Anyone know what kind of snake we are looking at? It flared its head out like a cobra but obviously it’s not a cobra.

Check out this time lapse from a camera that I have mounted at my daughter‘s house just north of Clayton, North Carolina. Starting around 20 seconds in, watch the tree line. Something really strange happens that I really don’t understand. I thought maybe it was fog, but there was torrential rain falling. This is also the exact timeframe that a confirmed tornado was moving through parts of Clayton, just a few miles to the south of this camera. What do you think is happening starting around the 22 second mark?

So, last night in downtown Norfolk, Virginia, what should have been just nuisance flooding turned into something quite a bit more; and it didn’t have to be this way. Here’s the thread of how it all went down… First, here’s a drone shot of the flooding that occurred during last night‘s high tide.

Raw drone video from my friend Brad showing the collapsed homes and resulting debris in Buxton, NC. Distant hurricanes Humberto and Imelda are sending a barrage of swells toward the coast - resulting in some overwash, road closures and these collapsed homes. FOX Weather

Aeolian processes at work with the snow in New Bern, NC during the weekend winter storm. Never seen anything like this. I’ll discuss with Ari Sarsalari tonight on FOX Weather around 9:45 ET.

Lots of people parked under the overpass of the 820 here in Lake Worth, Texas. Not a good scenario honestly.

The icy cold Swannanoa river in Asheville. This is the first time I’ve been back to this area since Helene. I wasn’t prepared for how bad it is. Now we have a winter storm coming in which I’ll be covering today. FOX Weather Steve Bender

As the coastal storm gathers strength and brings high winds and large waves again, tomorrow afternoon’s high tide may be enough to topple some of these homes in Buxton, NC. We have cams watching 👀 FOX Weather
