the way homelander sits down so uncomfortably, intentionally creating a gap between them, and then immediately curls up and cowers like a child when madelyn guides him down to her lap bc he nervous about what she's going to do to him. Ohh It's Soo Sickening......

homelander himself will not win no matter what, and the boys/butcher killing him wont mean they win either. its not just about good vs evil, its all about the money, and the real enemy is Vought. stan edgar and mm talk about exactly this in ep 3

homelander's death scene was so fucked in many ways i can't even begin to describe how it made me feel, but antony's performance was so spectacular... officially one for the history books!!

legend spoke to homelander like a person, like a father. he wasn’t afraid but he didn’t insult homelander like stan and soldier boy do. he was real with him, and the fatherly pat on the shoulder startles homelander bc he’s genuinely never interacted with a father figure like that

thankfully the boys season 1 exists. homelander and madelyn’s dynamic was deeply manipulative but intriguing, and her relationship with him was subversive. it meant that he was the bottom/submissive to her despite how much more powerful he is physically in comparison

this scene makes me wonder how the deep is gonna die bc the show makes it obvious he’s getting disillusioned with homelander but he won’t have the backbone to go against him, it’s not in his nature

this interview with valorie was such a great watch, what she says about her death scene is so well put. the "vulnerability [homelander] felt in that moment is why he has to do it" and how "[firecracker's] ability to get under his skin, is intolerable".….. omg im gonna miss her
