BREAKING NEWS: Geoff Brown, the widower of late journalist, Karima Brown, admits that he once “associated with an individual who publicly presented himself as a businessman and academic, but who was later exposed as a senior intelligence operative of the apartheid state.” Brown denies that he “knowingly collaborated with apartheid intelligence structures or consciously supplied information that contributed in any way to the detention, torture, disappearance, or death of liberation cadres.” In an email to #UnpopularOpinion, Brown says he devoted his youth to the struggle against apartheid. “I carry both pride and scars from that painful chapter of our history.” He says.
