My initial problem with Liquid Glass was that it was terrible for accessibility despite how beautiful it looks it certain places. There is literally only one way to solve this readability issue – make the glass frosted/opaque. And from the public backlash that Apple received it was pretty obvious that it was a matter of time before they made this change. The problem now is that when you make it opaque, it barely looks any different from iOS 18, yet it keeps eating up resources and draining your battery. 3 betas in, and I still feel like this design direction was a big mistake.

IT'S WORKING!!! 🔥 Thank you to everyone who suggested using a mask! 🙇🏻‍♂️ Turns out Framer has a very neat style option called Mask, and it saved my day. 6 blurred pngs per folder, masked by its own shape. Working like clockwork, smooth, no issues.
