This is also why I rate Barcola higher than Doue. and Vini higher than most people would historically. As defenses become more organized, defenders become more athletic. the time you have on-ball decreases, but also the average quality of an on ball action but off ball runs, especially at high volume are incredible scary. creating space by getting in behind, cutting diagonally, asking questions of defenses. football is a game of space and off ball movement opens it the easiest. So if you make 20 high quality runs across a game and then every member of your front line is also doing that and playing off of you, it's hard as hell to stop
