In a swift and precise night operation, an Indian Coast Guard Ship whilst on patrol in #Arabian sea sighted a #Pakistani Fishing Boat inside #Indian waters near the International Maritime Boundary Line on 14 Jan 26. On being challenged, the boat attempted to flee towards Pakistan side, however, the #ICG Ship intercepted and boarded the boat in Indian waters. A total of 09 crew were found in the #Pakistani boat, AL-MADINA. The boat is being towed to #Porbandar by #ICG Ship for thorough rummaging and joint interrogation by concerned agencies. The operation reaffirms #ICG’s unwavering commitment to secure #Bharat’s maritime frontiers through relentless vigil and law enforcement across the nation’s maritime domain. #MaritimeSecurity #WeProtect

All 24 crew members ex Liberian-flagged container Vessel MSC ELSA 3 rescued safely, 21 by Indian Coast Guard & 03 by SpokespersonNavy Ship Sujata after vessel sank off #Kochi this morning. Vessel was carrying 640 containers, including 13 containing hazardous cargo and 12 with calcium carbide. Additionally, ship had 84.44 metric tonnes of diesel and 367.1 metric tonnes of furnace oil in its tanks. #ICG has activated comprehensive #PollutionResponse preparedness and working in close coordination with State administration to address all possible scenarios. #ICG aircraft equipped with advanced oil spill mapping technology are conducting aerial assessment of the affected area. In challenging sea conditions Indian Coast Guard Ship Rani Gaidinliu recovered an adrift MoES NIOT data buoy in the Bay of Bengal. The scientific buoy had drifted 150+ km from its position off #Nellore, #AndhraPradesh. Responding swiftly to a distress call from MV SITTHAA due to flooding in multiple compartments whilst off #Tiruchendur (Tamil Nadu) on 27 Jun 26, Indian Coast Guard ship Atulya rendered immediate assistance. #ICG’s specialist boarding team coordinated with salvage experts, monitored emergency repairs and dewatering operations & ensured flooding remained under control.
