"Reclaiming sovereignty is a route to the international courts and to a declaration of independence and reclaiming Scotland's sovereignty. "This is about how you get independence. It's still not accepted by the Scottish National Party, still not understood by many people. Independence is not a question of domestic politics. "Independence is a question of international law. "Independence is your existence as a state in relation to other international states. "And it's that recognition which makes you an independent state, nothing to do with your domestic politics. If other states recognise you as an international state, you are a state. "It doesn't matter what the UK government thinks, they don't have a veto. All of this is part of the practical path to independence. The political route is a dead end. It's deliberately a dead end. "The entire colonial system of administering Scotland through a puppet council in Holyrood that calls itself a parliament and which does nothing, in fact, about independence, all of that is 'a blind', that route, everyone can see it's stalled. "The SNP could win another five elections on the trot and they still won't actually do anything about independence. "To achieve independence, you have to go down the routes we are doing. Of course, that has to be allied with increasing domestic support for independence and for your eventual Declaration of Independence and assertion of that in the international fora. "Of course, you need domestic support and to build it, but the UK political process is a complete and utter dead end. What we are doing is essential to independence. "And finally, I would say it still astonishes me that there are literally hundreds of people, from the SNP, employed in one way or another, employed in highly paid jobs as MPs, as MPs, assistants, as research assistants, as special advisors, as members of the Scottish Parliament, as government ministers. "There are all these professional people who are paid. None of us, nobody here is getting paid a penny. And we are doing for nothing what these paid hacks from the SNP should have been doing a decade ago." "Ireland's position was exactly analogous to that of Scotland" "There are roots through the United Nations, particularly once you accept that Scotland's position is as a colony. "That part is the part which is psychologically difficult for some people in the independence movement. It's very strange because nobody has any difficulty whatsoever in accepting that Ireland was a colony. "Nobody will argue with you if you tell them Ireland was a colony. Ireland's position was exactly analogous to that of Scotland. It had a Treaty of Union. It had Irish people owning slaves in colonies abroad. "It had the Irish elite fully co-opted into the colonial project. It had massive amounts of Irish people serving in the British Army. All the things people say make Scotland not a colony, they don't somehow see Ireland as not being a colony, because of exactly the same reasons. "And that's because of course, Ireland has escaped. And once you've escaped, your former position becomes clearer. "And we still of course, suffer the effects of colonial deprivation. Not only in our lack of control over our own fiscal policy, monetary policy, defence policy, foreign policy, but also in our massive exploitation and expropriation of our trade. The fact that nearly all our trade has to come in at great cost through England, and that nearly all our exports go out at great cost through England. "We are controlled and we are milked. We suffer brain drain. Once you have that perception, it becomes fairly clear that the UN Decolonization Committee is a place to take your case." "Messages between two civil servants in early February '18, show how Liz Lloyd, Sturgeon's Chief of Staff, was directly interfering in discussions with complainers ahead of their complaints being made. "Her role, acting, we must assume, with the knowledge of a boss, was central to these events. Furthermore, evidence, to the Holyrood inquiry from Mr. Salmond's former chief of staff, Geoff Aberdein, stated that Liz Lloyd in early March 2018 informed him, and I quote, 'There were two individual complainants'. "This assertion is supported by three other witnesses. This directly contradicts her claim that she first became aware of the allegations in April 2018. "Yet it's a claim she doubtless felt compelled to make in order not to contradict Nicola Sturgeon's position already given to the Scottish Parliament. Sturgeon misleading the Scottish Parliament would of course have led to her resignation. "This same untruth was repeated on behalf of the Scottish Government during the judicial review. It's the position of Mr. Salmond's legal team that neither Lloyd nor Sturgeon were telling the truth. "Now, very quickly after my previous debate on these matters, Scottish Police visited me asking where I got all this information. They got a nice cup of tea and biscuit. "Strangely though, they have no interest whatsoever in what appears to be the prima facie evidence of perjury by those holding high office. Now, let me say clearly today, these matters now obviously require to be properly investigated by the police. "In August 2018, ignoring the evident impropriety of the process, Leslie Evans, the Permanent Secretary, decided some complaints against Salmond were well founded. Salmond was told of Evans decision and that a press release was to be issued at 5pm. "Salmond's legal team was about to lodge a judicial review of the whole procedure, so urgently sought, and received, written assurances that no press release would be issued. Despite these assurances, only hours later, the Daily Record published news of the allegations. "Part of the decision report had been unlawfully leaked. Other than Mr. Salmond, only the Scottish Government had that report. However, I have personally met with a witness who has made a statement that he was told by the then political editor of the Daily Record the story was in fact leaked to them by Liz Lloyd." #TruthWillOut #Justice4Salmond
