"Messages between two civil servants in early February '18, show how Liz Lloyd, Sturgeon's Chief of Staff, was directly interfering in discussions with complainers ahead of their complaints being made. "Her role, acting, we must assume, with the knowledge of a boss, was central to these events. Furthermore, evidence, to the Holyrood inquiry from Mr. Salmond's former chief of staff, Geoff Aberdein, stated that Liz Lloyd in early March 2018 informed him, and I quote, 'There were two individual complainants'. "This assertion is supported by three other witnesses. This directly contradicts her claim that she first became aware of the allegations in April 2018. "Yet it's a claim she doubtless felt compelled to make in order not to contradict Nicola Sturgeon's position already given to the Scottish Parliament. Sturgeon misleading the Scottish Parliament would of course have led to her resignation. "This same untruth was repeated on behalf of the Scottish Government during the judicial review. It's the position of Mr. Salmond's legal team that neither Lloyd nor Sturgeon were telling the truth. "Now, very quickly after my previous debate on these matters, Scottish Police visited me asking where I got all this information. They got a nice cup of tea and biscuit. "Strangely though, they have no interest whatsoever in what appears to be the prima facie evidence of perjury by those holding high office. Now, let me say clearly today, these matters now obviously require to be properly investigated by the police. "In August 2018, ignoring the evident impropriety of the process, Leslie Evans, the Permanent Secretary, decided some complaints against Salmond were well founded. Salmond was told of Evans decision and that a press release was to be issued at 5pm. "Salmond's legal team was about to lodge a judicial review of the whole procedure, so urgently sought, and received, written assurances that no press release would be issued. Despite these assurances, only hours later, the Daily Record published news of the allegations. "Part of the decision report had been unlawfully leaked. Other than Mr. Salmond, only the Scottish Government had that report. However, I have personally met with a witness who has made a statement that he was told by the then political editor of the Daily Record the story was in fact leaked to them by Liz Lloyd." #TruthWillOut #Justice4Salmond

"Nicola Sturgeon consciously and deliberately damaged the party's internal structures..." Not often we hear Wings Over Scotland speaking but here's a few edited clips from 'Scotland Speaks' from 12 Oct 2024 with Alex Salmond "I think I've been fairly unambiguous in Wings in the last year or two, in saying that I really do, and all due apologies to the panel members here who are still in the SNP, but I think the only way of progressing the independence movement now, in the campaign for independence, is the destruction of the SNP. I really believe that, that is what we have to do, and therefore, that is what Wings is in essence, dedicated to at the moment. You know, if a party can go in the wrong direction, surely it's capable of swinging back again, is it not? I think in theory you can. But I don't think it's possible to overstate the degree of damage that has been done to the SNP in the last 10 years, and particularly, particularly by Nicola Sturgeon. Not just of making it unpopular, not just in terms of pursuing dreadful, awful policies like the gender ones you mentioned, but in hollowing out the party. There's hardly anyone competent left in the party, certainly not anybody who has any hope of becoming the eader of it. I mean, you can interpret destruction in one of two ways. You can either interpret that as meaning, obliterating the party from the Scottish electoral map so that a new party can come in and take over the independence movement, or you can phrase it slightly more loosely as saying, destroying it as it is now, and essentially, building a whole new SNP from within the SNP. I think Nicola Sturgeon consciously and deliberately damaged the party's internal structures so badly, it is not accountable to its members anymore, its members have no say, there was one attempt to elect the 'good guys' onto the NEC, and who were then just driven out again by Sturgeon and Murrell. And I don't think the SNP as it stands is reformable or savable. And I don't think there is anyone with a chance of being in charge of the SNP, who has any interest in making it any of those things."
