All Goa Private Bus Owners’ Association leader Sudip Tamhankar was allegedly attacked by a group of 7-8 persons while returning on a two-wheeler after addressing a press conference. Tamhankar had alleged that buses belonging to a tours and travel company had illegally entered Goa without proper registration. According to him, while he was on his way back, the group allegedly obstructed his vehicle, causing him to fall, assaulted him, and clicked photographs of his two-wheeler. Tamhankar stated that the incident raises serious concerns over safety, as he was merely highlighting the issue of unregistered vehicles illegally operating. Police detain few.
