📌BUDGET DEBATE (Cont…) (’ORDER WITH ME’ vs NAMRA) On the issue of NAMRA, our young people who run OrderWithMe businesses, where they import goods for sale have been struggling due to stringent operations of NAMRA. I also recognize that some delays are caused by possible tax evasion by companies like Aramex etc. It is however my humble plea, that when employing measures we also consider the impact they may have on businesses, especially youth run businesses.

Last night, Parliament unanimously adopted the report on our motion addressing the Youth Unemployment Crisis in Namibia. This is a monumental step, and I am truly honored to have been a trusted servant of the people in driving this cause forward. When I first tabled this motion three to four years ago, it was the young people on this very X (then Twitter) platform who amplified and strengthened it. Sharing personal experiences, professional expertise, and unwavering commitment. For that, I say THANK YOU! Your voices made this possible. The Committee on Human Resources has done an outstanding job, producing a well-structured and actionable report. Now, our focus shifts to ensuring the Government follows through on implementation. I am deeply grateful to every young Namibian who attended consultations, shared their stories, and contributed solutions. This has been our collective mission: crafting a legislative blueprint that ensures job creation across all sectors. Together, we have taken a bold step. Now, we hold the system accountable. Okuhepa!
