My team Izzy Weiss 🎗️ and I are in touch with several individuals on the ground in Boro Park where antisemitic, anti-American, terror-loving, Hamas-supporting lunatics are violently attacking Orthodox Jews under the guise of “protesting a land sale.” Never since the pogroms of the past have we seen such blatant and open hatred towards Jews. These terrorists came to Boro Park for one reason only: to incite violence and fear in one of the largest Jewish communities in the United States. The city is hereby PREVENTED from moving any more single adult males into 3218 Emmons Ave shelter pending an August hearing. I am incredibly grateful for our amazing pro-bono attorneys Lloyd Eisenberg, of Eisenberg & Carton & Mitchel Shpelfogel of Pinczewski & Shpelfogel, who have poured hours upon hours of great work into this litigation. My message to Jewish students is this: as difficult as it may be, EVERY JEWISH STUDENT MUST return to campus and prove to these agitators that they won’t intimidate you out of your education. If we run and hide, we’re letting them win. We cannot sit idly by as they create #Judenrein on our college campuses. ❄️🚮 Update This weekend I walked some of the streets in my district to take a look at the snow and trash issues for myself and it was concerning. This morning I spoke to an Assistant Chief at the DSNY to relay my concerns of delayed trash pick up and still unplowed snow, and requested the plan for clean up and pick up. According to NYC Sanitation , currently they are working on removing snow piles from commercial strips. They will continue this till completion, then will move into the residential areas, Bedford Ave in particular as I saw significant pile ups there. By Monday 6am, all areas of the city will have received 1 refuse pickup. Recycle was not touched but will be picked up this week. Regular collection schedule will resume tomorrow.
