Muslim youth attack Holi celebrations in Harrow Holi is a festival of colour, joy and community. Yesterday in Harrow, local Hindu families, including women and children, gathered to celebrate peacefully. Hundreds of devotees attended this Holika Dahan celebrations in Harrow, London, organised by the International Siddhashram Shakti Centre and had prior permission from the council. The event was honored by two serving Mayors, Harrow Council Portfolio Holders, the London Fire Brigade Commander, former Mayors, Councillors, and Labour Group leader, showcasing widespread civic and cross-party support for faith, unity, and community. What should have been a happy occasion was disrupted when a group of Muslim youths reportedly came from a nearby mosque and attacked the event, pushing over speakers and attempting to intimidate those celebrating. After initially leaving, they returned with around 20 others and began attacking members of the gathering. Police were called and arrived approximately an hour later, taking statements from those present. No one celebrating a religious festival in Britain should face intimidation or violence. The right to celebrate our faith peacefully is fundamental and must be protected equally for all communities. We demand the authorities to investigate this incident thoroughly and ensure accountability. Community harmony cannot be built on silence when one group is targeted. Pakistan: Hindu man dies after chased away from hospital, stripped, beaten and 'thrown' in drain The sequence of events is deeply disturbing: 1. British Hindu Labour Assembly Member Krupesh Hirani’s motion on Hinduphobia is passed unanimously at the London Assembly. Hirani referenced the Crime Survey for England and Wales, which shows that Hindus are the second most likely religion to have been victims of religiously motivated hate crime. The motion highlighted the need for the Metropolitan Police to work closely with the country’s Hindu community to fight Hinduphobic crimes which are far too many but not properly recorded. Hirani stressed that the problem of anti-Hindu hate crime cannot be tackled unless it is properly recognised. He used the rally for Palestine as an opportunity for Hindu-bashing. HfHR UK claims to stand for human rights, yet it consistently targets the very community it claims to represent. When was the last time they condemned violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, or Pakistan, or Bhutan, or Myanmar, or the UK and North America? He went on to falsely claim that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi said “Muslims are infiltrators who have too many children” - an outright lie. He then finishes off his anti-Hindu rant with genocidal chant of “from the rivers to the sea, Palestine will be free”. 1.7 million Muslims were displaced yesterday in Pakistan and are being forced to return to Afghanistan which is under the Taliban rule. There has been no international outrage. No rally has been organised to stand in solidarity with the million plus Afghans being expelled and made homeless. Does injustice done by an Islamic Republic to other Muslims not count. Do Afghan lives not matter. Pakistan has been exporting terror into its neighbouring country India, and has a poor human rights track record. The minority Hindus, Sikhs, Christian citizens including Ahmadia and Shia Muslims face persecution in Pakistan.
