Does the City of Toronto really think that drivers will voluntarily squeeze into the single right lane simply because they marked the other lane with expensive red paint? According to estimates, the MMA acelyte paint cost in the range of $1.5 to $2 million per lane. If you add both the northbound and southbound Dufferin and Bathurst corridors, the estimated cost of this paint job is $6-8 million. Do you think the new RapidTO transit-only lanes will help or hurt traffic flow?

Toronto City Councillor says Ghanaians now own Yonge - Dundas Square 🤔 In a bizarre rant, multi-decade city councillor Shelley Carroll proudly said that Ghanaians now “own” Yonge - Dundas Square. Yes - Ghanaians - not Torontonians. In her rant, she also used the word “awfulizing” five times. Using such an abstract and peculiar word is - in itself - a form of awfulizing the English language. Last night it was a full house inside The 519 as Councillor Chris “Sankofa” Moise hosted a town hall. One questioner pulled back the curtains to force the Councillor to look at what was right outside the window. Many residents expressed their frustration with a plethora of issues including the decay of several neighbourhood parks that have become unsafe for residents and dogs.

Toronto a wasteland of garbage Absolutely appalling scenes downtown last weekend as vast stretches of the city core were covered in trash. King West residents woke up to incredible scenes of garbage-strewn sidewalks. This is gross negligence on both the part of careless people who litter with abandon, and poor planning on behalf of Toronto’s $408 million waste management division. ([email protected]) We know people are more likely to throw garbage on the ground when they see a lawless society - a key tenet of the broken windows theory. Regardless, our city government is responsible for waste management planning including surge capacity for special events, proper bins, and ensuring expedited clean up. Your City Hall under dancing mayor Olivia Chow has failed you. We deserve better. Election October 26 🗳️

Abysmal scenes at Union Station The state of our country’s largest transit station aptly demonstrates the failure of this city’s leadership. A scene depicting: - Animal abuse - Sidewalks covered in human waste - Garbage and litter - Broken windows - Open-air drug use and drug dealing - Stolen city bikes Not a single police officer, Union Station security guard, transit constable, social worker, CORE worker, or animal welfare official is in sight. Scenes like this are spreading across Toronto, and we cannot become numb to it. That is why you must vote for CHANGE on October 26. We need a big shakeup at City Hall to restore order in our city.

Citizens encountering fent addicts everywhere The next City Council must declare a state of emergency as we’re in the grips of a second, and even deadlier, epidemic this decade. The City, with the Province, must build infrastructure where people are placed under mandatory medical custody for detox. Many addicts lack the capacity to seek help - it must be imposed on them. Anything less will involve more addicts left to rot on the streets while demoralized citizens look on. 👇🏻

Yet Another Renaming In this clip, 23-year city councillor and Sankofa enthusiast, Shelley Carroll, presents a motion to rename Woodsy Park to Ethennonnhawahstihnen’. Later, octogenarian councillor Mike Colle fabricates history by suggesting Toronto was founded by “the indigenous” despite the historical record showing that Toronto was incorporated in 1834 by William Lyon Mackenzie. Not a single councillor questioned if this renaming was problematic and ill-advised and the vote carried unanimously. Your tax dollars at work. 💸
