I’ve seen many clips of Bobby Sands. Seeing his mother speak stopped me. So much gentleness in the middle of a brutal time. A mother, no hatred no incitement, just dignity, grief, truth. This is humanisation. Not agitation And that’s exactly why it resonates so widely 😭🇮🇪

I was 4 I didn’t understand politics, but Understood gravity. Bobby Sands’ funeral was grief, and it was an awakening. but also a moment when Ireland understood that dignity, resistance, and consequence could no longer be separated! 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
