Once United States takes Greenland, which is owned by a fellow NATO member, what will be the rationale for keeping NATO? The United States has to have a relationship with Russia in order to survive anything like that. If Donald Trump wants to commit one act as president that will secure him a place in history forever, as a hero, it would be to bring Russia back into alliance with the United States. Russia is essential to the United States. We cannot survive a global conflict if Russia and China are aligned against us. Period.
