I’d rather admit I’ve made a mistake than be fooled due to my own ego. Even if the mistake challenges my entire identity. Cognitive dissonance isn’t easy to endure. Yet sometimes necessary to grow, and to avoid harming other people. I’ve made plenty of mistakes, been wrong many times. I’m also learning as I walk this path in life, hoping to become a better person. Humility is such an underrated trait. It’s powerful. It’s peaceful. When you feel humbly secure within yourself, you do not feel the need to prove yourself to anyone or justify anything you do. It’s love.
