Yes, the Russian agent was the interpreter for Witkoff. A few months ago, I published a post saying that something felt off. Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, didn’t have his own translator with him and seemed to rely on an unknown interpreter provided to him in Russia. This is not what you do in high-level negotiations. You don´t relay on someone providing you the translator as the translator is a "mission critical resource". Steve Witkoff did use a translator, provided upon arrival - an individual who turned out to be a Russian spy. A strategic and significant mistake to make going into such negotiations… either incompetence or completely trusting the other party. Not good in any way.
