If you don't believe the #UFL has a marketing/branding problem, I present to you this clip from the Pat McAfee today, where the league was briefly discussed. In less than two minutes, one of sports most popular shows had the following things to say: - Multiple references calling the league the "XFL/UXFL" - "Is it still going on?...Is it still happening?" - "They're bleeding like a sucker. They have to figure something out." - "It's been publicly stated they lost $40+ million dollars." - "Their quarterbacks did a holdout." (referencing the legal issues w/ union in training camp) - Blasts the league for not keeping the XFL name - Joking about Samson Nacua slapping a Battlehawks fan, and Deestroying "breaking his back" - "That was terrible to watch...it's a tough brand to watch." Pat McAfee, who was once a sideline reporter for ESPN during the XFL's 2020 season, gives a simple "I don't" when asked if he still watches the league. Mind you, Pat works for ESPN right now. ESPN is a major broadcasting partner - and stakeholder - in the UFL. Yet, Pat proceeds to comment on how tough of a brand of football it is to watch, while live on ESPN (Let's be honest...the football product is NOT THE PROBLEM this league has). Sure, there's a couple short positive comments about Jake Bates and KaVontae Turpin - but those are clearly an afterthought. They talk about/treat this league like its a joke. They have ZERO idea if the UFL is still playing, and all they can continue to harp on is the poor branding, the legal chaos, the financial losses, etc. - it's ALL negative. Why? Because the casual fan only catches tidbits of negative press about the UFL every so often. That's all they remember, because that's all that mainstream media picks up. That's why this short bit on McAfee's show is so negative. The UFL does not efficiently push their positive storylines (via press, social media), and it's killing their brand. There is SO MUCH GOOD that the UFL does every single year for the professional football space. It constantly gets overlooked by mainstream media (including ESPN & FOX, their partners!). This narrative has to change - but it starts with the UFL themselves setting the tone. For the most part, this negative press is the result of self-inflicted wounds.

Former #Chiefs draft pick Cornell Powell is making his case for an NFL return: 418 Receiving Yards (7th) 7 TD (1st) Cornell Powell has been a reliable target for projected #UFL MVP, Jordan Ta'amu, all season long. Absolutely should be in an NFL camp this summer.

Former Arlington Renegades DT Jalen Redmond made an impressive #Vikings debut, posting 3 tackles - including a couple of clutch TFL's. J RED was a star for Arlington when healthy, dominating the #UFL (18 TKL/5 TFL/4.5 sacks in 4 games). Spring football works, folks.

"United Football League blessed me in ways that I could never repay them for." I got to catch up with #Cowboys DT Perrion Winfrey (Perrion Winfrey) today, who utilized an All-#UFL campaign in Birmingham to spring-board back to the NFL, earning a spot in Dallas on their 53-man roster:

Free Agent Watch: WR Mark Pope Mark Pope6️⃣ is a young prospect looking for an opportunity in the #UFL/#NFL/#ELF/#CFL. Pope played at Miami for a few years, totaling 680 receiving yards & 4 TD's across that span. He made the move to UMASS for his final season, posting 420 yards & 2 scores with the Minutemen. Pope's got smooth route running abilities, and a knack for making contested catches in traffic. Can create legitimate separation quickly off the line of scrimmage. Ran a 4.45 40 at his Pro Day at Miami.

NEWS: EA SPORTS has partnered with San Antonio Brahmas OC A.J. Smith to "improve the authenticity" of the run & shoot offense. AJ Smith is helping tweak and develop plays within the run & shoot playbook; which will include multiple plays from his #UFL/#XFL stints. "GTFO", the infamous play-call from this past season, will be featured - but renamed to "GT Field Options". These updates will be reflected in both College Football 25, and Madden 25. #UFLtoNFL: St. Louis Battlehawks RB Jacob Saylors put himself on the map for the #Lions last night. Jacob Malik Saylors totaled 44 yards on this scoring drive alone - showcasing his abilities to run, & catch out of the backfield at a high level. Earned All-#UFL honors twice in St. Louis.

#UFL To NFL Watch: Memphis Showboats S Eli Walker (#7) W A L K E R 👣 was nothing but a playmaker in Memphis this year, despite being out of the spring scene for a full season. Walker posted 57 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 INT, & 2 PBU's with Memphis this past season. Deserving of an NFL opportunity sooner than later.
