Powerful words from Sarah Bishop in her closing speech this afternoon at the end of the #Synod #LLF debate I think it was the most memorable and moving speech I have heard from a bishop in years. I remain grateful to her for all that she has done in leading us through the last few years, at much personal cost to herself.

This appalling crass & narcissistic speech shows exactly why #Justin had to go It was his chance to try & make amends, to show contrition & to apologise to victims. Instead we got jokes & a pity party No wonder BishopSarah had her head in her hands - it besmirched his office

This was my final #Synod speech To date no church leader has ever apologised for the trauma that I went through, which I summoned up courage to share here It was this indifference that confirmed it was time to leave....few care about the pain they know church teaching inflicts!
