Good play call but again, it’s rushed by an inexperienced QB. Sell the pass a little longer - let the blocks to setup. By rushing it, Bryce runs OUTSIDE the pulling guard’s kick out block. If he waited a split second, he runs inside it like it’s designed & it’s a winning play.

3rd & 5 They’re gonna pull the backside guard and tackle. Link has a looong way to go but he does it perfectly. Jonathan Brown - freshman RB out of Ohio - looks *very* comfortable waiting for the play to develop. Really good patience and vision to pick up the first down.

After the OSU FG, it’s 3rd & 5. The left side of the line holds up, but the right side does not. My bigger concern is, who is Bryce supposed to throw to? If you’re expecting 2 TEs to out-play that secondary without the help of a pick or some sort of mesh… IDK man

I watched this over and over, wondering if the play was meant to the left side, and Haynes improvised because Bredeson trapped the NG rather than getting to the LB on the left. But nope, this is the design, and it’s fun to watch.
