For perspective on how many Vikings fans were in the Superdome today. There was a Saints third down late in the game that you might’ve thought this was a road game. Tough to put into words just how far down the sentiment around this season has fallen in the span of three weeks.

I’ve said the words risk-averse a lot when it comes to Tyler Shough. This and the next post were back-to-back reps with no pass rush. #Saints

Day 1 of #Saints training camp in the books, some quick notes: - No surprise absences. Everyone on hand other than PUP/NFI guys - Jordyn Tyson was in action. Looked like a full workload. - Didn’t Chris Olave in any of the team drills. Notable, for sure - Kendre Miller has a full workload with the 2s alongside Devin Neal. Kamara and Etienne with the 1s - Busy day overall. A lot of work. That’s been a theme this year compared to last. Simple offense, guys clearly still dialing things in - Hunter Dekkers is wearing 7: Martin Emerson in 22 - Charlie Smyth went 5-for-5

When I say Spencer Rattler was in his bag from a sack-evasion perspective against the Giants ... this is the type of rep I'm talking about. I genuinely don't think you can teach this type of thing. You either have it or you don't. #Saints

A subtle but VERY important difference in this year's version of Chris Olave. This is a very similar route/throw to what ended with him carted off the field in Carolina last year. This time he appears a lot more aware that he needs to protect himself rather than rescue the ball.

Dennis Allen started off his presser by apologizing to Arthur Smith for the end-of-game TD. The play was supposed to be a kneel-down … but the players were committed to getting Jamaal Williams a touchdown. Bizarre situation, to say the least. #Saints

Here’s a cutup of WR-DB 1-on-1s from #Saints camp today (most but not all of the reps). Bub Means was a standout imo. Barion Brown with the top highlight.

Kellen Moore said one of the qualities he likes most about Jordyn Tyson is that he’s a ‘football junkie’ … I feel like this video is a fairly solid example. He beats the dudes at their own ‘guys being dudes’ game.

Alvin Kamara on the decision not to play in the finale. He said it was close, but ultimately made the most sense to sit. He says “he’ll have another chance” to get to 1,000 yards. #Saints
