I think everybody forgot how Pikachu vs Alain’s Charizard went down. All of Pikachu’s landed attacks were from Charizard just standing there doing nothing and essentially shrugs it off pretty fine The second Charizard starts fighting back Pikachu gets clapped very quickly

I feel bad for the Pokemon fans that think Paul didn't grow until his loss to Ash around the end of DP He changes as soon as the Brandon/Lake Acuity battles in the original, but in the dub (which most people would've consumed), it's poorly executed

We don't talk enough how big of an accomplishment him tieing with Sceptile was Remember when in Diamond and Pearl, Sceptile was so OP it could beat the Darkrai that solo'd Sinnoh League? Yeah, Glalie was that guy
