Kilimani - Argwings Kodhek Last year, a tenant had to move out of Bric Apartments because of the state of the borehole water. Look at the Davis and Shirtliff filter after only 14 days! You want to cook with that? Shower in that? This is public health disaster in the making! This is not unique to Bric Apartments. All these "developers" sink boreholes in their basements. Kilimani - Ndemi Road The genuine residents of Ndemi Road and immediate streets called out the meeting for not adhering to the notice period. The usual architect fixer for the Chinese, Michire Mugo🙅🏾‍♀️ and a Mr. Gitau (NEMA Consultant) 🤷🏿‍♀️ insisted that the meeting should go on. They acknowledge that this is a 4 storey zone neighbourhood and what they proposed is based on trends. 🚮 The area Chief pretended he was neutral and immediately started praising the proposed development. We shut him down. He left. One guy named Tirop (probably a fixer for the Chinese) hit me and grabbed my mobile. We withdrew from the meeting. Said Tirop went to the garage on the corner of Muringa and Ndemi to rally mechanics to attend. The genuine residents moved to the back of the property to discuss further. Blissful says it will cut ALL trees down and build wall to wall. WHO IS APPROVING THESE PLANS? They care about noone but themselves. Permits have not been issued. We will stop them. Oh, we ripped up the initial sign in sheet. So, the attendance list will comprise non residents who were plied with mandazi, soda and maybe money. The Chinese "owners" couldn't even express themselves clearly in English but lectured us about what Kenyans need. His name is Wu. Could be the Jack Wu of the Chinese Property Developers Association. This proposed "development" is a disaster and one of hundreds in Kilimani that the Chinese have dumped on us. Calling ALL neighbourhood associations to RISE UP and protect Nairobi from the hordes.
