How cute is this video?! I met Steve Poltz when I was 18 years old, I was a barista in a coffee shop called Java Joes, and he was singing. He got me up to improvise on a blues song and it was the beginning of a life long friendship and artistic collaboration. We wrote “You Were Meant For Me” together! He is in that video :) I adore Poltzie…he’s funny, smart, and the best of pals. Happy Birthday Steve! If you have not seen him live or checked out his albums - you need to!

Every interview I did, the journalist would high light this, and tell me all about the ‘sophomore slump’. I had never meant to write ‘hits’. I just wrote songs as medicine for myself, and they turned out to be hits. Massive hits 🤷‍♀️ . In fact ‘you were meant for me’ went on to be the longest running single in HISTORY. Crazy.
