90’s really was a vibe

Jewel. When my wife was pregnant with our son in 1998, she often listened to your song, Who Will Save Your Soul. It always made my wife cry when that song played because it made her very emotional to listen to. Fast forward a about a year, that song started playing on the radio while our son was about 8 months old. He stopped what he was doing, looked all around the room to see where that music was comming from, we noticed his lips started quivering, he began to sob. He was listening and feeling that song from the womb.

Jewel not playing a Jewel song when reminiscing about being Jewel is crazy work.

I still have it! 😀

In January '97 I was comms director for the Presidential Inaugural Committee. We were staying in the same hotel and I rode alone with you on the elevator to the lobby. I'm sure you think of me often. :)

Please don't give me an existential crisis on a Wednesday afternoon, Jewel. 😅

Both in the 90's and today tbh

"Mom what were you like in the 90's?" A smoke show 🤗

Adorable then, still adorable. Thanks for so much wonderful music and talent that you shared with us, especially in simpler times.

This is my favorite trend. This brings me back to a time when you could have different political beliefs from the artists you enjoy and not be preached at from the stage. I miss it.

And my 30 year crush continues...

Listening to your voice always feels like opening an old diary. Your songs age with grace, but Foolish Games remains unforgettable; fragile, sincere, and painfully honest, the kind of melody that quietly remembers you.

The nostalgia is truly painful.

It was '95 or '96. I was driving to the train station that would take me to my internship in Manhattan. Listening to the radio I heard a lovely voice singing live in the studio but I didn't catch her name before I got to the station. As soon as I got to my desk, I called the station and asked the person who answered, "who was that singer?" She replied, "Jewel." I asked, "Is that the name of a band or her name?" She replied, "Her name." After work I went to my local Sam Goody and bought Pieces of You. Listened to it beginning to end and loved all of it. Still do.

Tell us about the time u wore a disguise and did karaoke did you already know you were THAT much better singer than everyone in a normal room or was that as eye-opening for you as it was for the crowd

Saw her at a small venue called The Electric Ballroom in Tempe, AZ in 1996. Such a great, intimate show. The next time I saw her was in an arena.

I kept that first Rolling Stone cover on the wall in my office at Educational Testing Service in the late 90s. I was so happy for you.

The pieces of you album was my High School soundtrack! Thank you for the great memories!

Hi Jewel, I’m the lead auctioneer at the Gary Con Charity Auction. I just wanted to ping you and say how thankful we are for the donation your son is bringing. You’re the best.

Speaking of Jewel in the 90s. Here's a lipsync contest I did with my buddies in college to "Sensitive" back then.

I’ll never forget giving you a compliment after you opened for Edwin McCain and you giving me the finger and telling me to F off, I was just being honest and well that was the 90’s lol anyway no hard feelings,me and my friends still laugh about it

lol please tell me your kids think you were cool?? If they don’t think you were a badass the rest of us have no chance. You were a literal rockstar.

Saw you live several times in the 90s You captivated us all 🤙🤙🙏🙏

You made it out alive. God bless you and your family 💞

It has been all down hill since the late 90s. There is a reason wys 80s and 90s music is still all over the movies, radio and TV.

These videos are sweet and also feel like a gut punch to this Gen-Xer.

Ohh WOW 😮 🥐🥐 ROLLING STONES 🤯🤣💥💥💥

The whole world tuned into your vibration, thanks for helping make 90s so great.

It was truly a wonderful time and you were a huge part of it, thank you for being you.
