Let’s compare Josh Hart ’s Top Fuel Dragster fuel consumption to the launch of Artemis II 🔥🚀🌔 At full throttle, a Top Fuel engine burns about 1.2–1.5 gallons of nitromethane per second. To put it in perspective: • The fuel pump (mechanically driven) can flow over 100 gallons per minute • That’s more than a commercial fire hose level of flow • The entire run (≈3.6–3.8 seconds of racing) can consume 10–15 gallons total from burnout to shutdown. The Artemis II rocket 🚀: The 4 core engines burn: •1,500 gallons/sec of liquid hydrogen • 900 gallons/sec of liquid oxygen 👉 Combined total: •2,400 gallons/sec!! Direct Comparison: Top Fuel Dragster: ~1.5/gal sec reaching 340 mph Artemis II: ~2,400/gal sec reaching speeds of 24,500 mph 😮😮 G Forces •Top Fuel dragster launch: 4–5+ G instantly •Artemis II launch: builds gradually to ~4 G 👉 So: •Dragster = violent hit right away •Rocket = sustained, controlled squeeze And if you’re still here reading all of this, we thank you!
