🚨 EXCLUSIVE — Tucker's War on Truth now disputes the central Jewish connection to Jerusalem. Tucker Carlson claimed the Kotel, or Western Wall, is merely "believed by some to be a remnant of the Second Temple." It's an odious myth designed to separate Jews from the holiest site in Judaism — and its origins are recent, peddled by the godfather of Palestinian terrorism, Yasser Arafat. And it is a breathtaking level of denialism, precisely because it is so mendacious. There is overwhelming historical and archeological evidence that the Kotel survived from the Second Temple. Simply put, no one serious or credible doubts that the Kotel (Western Wall or Wailing Wall) in what is now the Old City of Jerusalem is the retaining wall of the Temple Mount complex from the time of the Second Temple. Yet Tucker labels it as nothing more than a "claim." Even a century ago, Muslim leaders in Jerusalem in 1925 said its "sanctity" was "beyond dispute" because of it had survived from the Temple. It is only recently that some Palestinians have decided to become, for lack of a better term, Temple Truthers. In 2015, for example, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Muhammad Ahmad Hussein bizarrely claimed that there was never any Jewish holy site at the Temple Mount. Hussein, though, was merely echoing Yasser Arafat, who rejected the 2000 Camp David proposal for a Palestinian state on the grounds that there had never been a Jewish holy site at the Temple Mount. Fast forward 15 years later, and the Grand Mufti declared that the site was an "Islamic mosque since the world was created." It's an odd claim given that Islam only dates back to the 7th Century. So why do we know that Temple Truthers are unequivocally wrong? Evidence. Staggering amounts of evidence, in fact. For starters, the Kotel matches the description of famous 1st century historian Josephus — with whom Tucker is quite familiar, having discussed his work during previous interviews. Josephus detailed Herod's expansion from that era, including the exact type of retaining wall matching the Kotel. He even listed measurements for the stones used — which also match the measurements of the stones at the Kotel. Then there's the texture and style of the stones comprising the Kotel. They match the stones from the Herodian era found elsewhere in Jerusalem — which stopped being used shortly afterwards, following the Roman destruction of the city. Most important, though, is what has been found in archeological excavations. Archeologists have unearthed more than three dozens of mikva'ot, or ritual Jewish baths, just outside the perimeter of the Temple Mount complex. Jewish pilgrims, in accordance with Jewish law, would ritually cleanse themselves in mikva'ot before entering the Temple Mount. There are many more such examples of archeological evidence, but here's one more. Two stones were uncovered with inscriptions that match those described by Josephus as having been placed just outside the Temple. In short, the evidence confirming that the Kotel or Western Wall has survived from the Second Temple era is incontrovertible. So much so, in fact, that Temple Truthers are on a par with Flat Earthers. Tucker Carlson, of course, knows better. But facts don't matter to him, just his singular, obsessive mission: To divide Jews from Christians, which requires him to remove Jews from their own history. That's why Tucker promotes the dangerous lie that the Jews of today aren't descended from the Jews of the Bible. And now he's trying to take from the Jews not just their history, but also the one surviving portion of the holiest site that ever existed in Jewish history. Even if that means Tucker has to ignore mountains of evidence in order to embrace a provably false Palestinian fiction.

Opposing financial support of Israel is an entirely legitimate position that can easily be justified using conservative principles. Maybe that's why the primary defense of Tucker by Megyn Kelly and others has been that he's somehow just "criticizing Israel." But when Fuentes said in 2023 that Shapiro, Dennis Prager, Mark Levin, and Joel Pollak "are running American media" and are "here (apparently living in the U.S.) to make sure Americans support the country they really care about," what possible argument is he making about policy? The same holds true when Tucker Carlson just this month said that "Shapiro and all of these guys" don't "care" about their own audiences "at all" (or, by implication, America at large) because their supposed tactic is "give us money for our preferred little country, or we're going to denounce you!" Put another way, what could Fuentes or Tucker possibly be trying to advance besides the notion that the views of Shapiro/Jews/"neocons" should not be trusted on any issue, even those having nothing to do with Israel?

And who does Tucker claim is behind this insidious plot — and thus the military campaign he called "evil"? Chabad. As anyone active in Jewish life knows, Chabad focuses on outreach to its own local Jewish community, particularly to more secular Jews who don't feel connected to a standing synagogue. But because Chabad is not known to almost anyone outside of the Jewish community, it makes for an easy target of dark conspiracy theories. That's why Candace Owens has made Chabad into a villain in her increasingly unhinged rants. But here is why this theory is as crazy as it is dangerous. Chabad is a loosely-knit collection of synagogues (and related community/educational centers), each run by a Rabbi and his wife, who stay in a given community or neighborhood typically for life. Far from being structured like, say, the Catholic Church, each Chabad House raises its own funds. Tucker's "logic" for his outrageous allegations is that Chabad wants to bring about the building of the Third Temple, known in Hebrew as the beit hamikdash. But... how does Chabad actually to bring about the building of the beit hamikdash? Through acts of kindness. Truly by doing good deeds in order to "merit" God rebuilding the Jewish holy site. In fact, Jews have for prayed for the rebuilding of the beit hamikdash — every single day — since shortly after the destruction of the Second Temple almost two thousand years ago. It is literally part of Jews' daily prayers. But it has nothing to do with tearing down an Islamic holy site, let alone starting a holy war. It's a prayer asking God to return us to the elevated state of spirituality that existed during the time of the Temple, and more importantly, for Him to send "Moshiac," or the Messiah. That Tucker would turn ancient Jewish prayers into some kind of sinister plot that is responsible for a very real and ongoing military campaign should be shocking. Sadly, though, it's not. Dick Carlson, Tucker's dad, loved Israel. I should know. I was with him in Israel for 10 straight days. Every bus ride, every tour, every meal. At Yad Vashem, I'll never forget what he said: "Thank God the Jews have Israel." Dick Carlson knew that Jews have faced unique threats throughout history, and that Israel was necessary to protect Jews everywhere. I know that because he told me that. Not long after we returned from Israel, I started working for FDD, where he was already. We would have lunch every month or two for years. I can say without reservation that when it comes to Israel and the Jews, Tucker Carlson is no Dick Carlson. Dick Carlson supported Israel. Dick Carlson hated Hamas. Dick Carlson called "Radical Islam" an "enemy of the United States and of the West." Dick Carlson didn't question the patriotism of Jews who supported Israel. Dick Carlson didn't hate Christians who supported Israel, not least because he was one of them. Dick Carlson didn't insist that Jews needed to take DNA tests to prove that they're actually Jews. Dick Carlson never slandered "Zionists" by saying that they "don't care about America" or accused them of having "not much of a soul." Dick Carlson, in fact, rarely used the word "Zionist," even though he worked with many of them. And, of course, he was a Zionist himself. How did Dick Carlson describe the Jewish state? "Israel is a country under siege. And it's a democracy in a part of the world where there are no democracies." If you're looking for a north star to help you understand Israel and the Muslim world, you could do a lot worse than the late, great Dick Carlson. Like, for instance, his son Tucker.

Tucker pretends that I'm just some "proxy," but he knows his Dad is my motivation, that I'm doing this precisely because his own father would agree with me. Tucker's views are an anathema to everything Dick Carlson believed. Simply put, Tucker can't stand to be reminded that he is disgracing his own father's legacy. See the message I sent Tucker on January 17, giving him the opportunity to talk. He read it, but chose not to reply. Tucker and I were never close, but (at least until recently) he'd stop if he saw me to say hello, or respond to my texts. Moscow-based, RT-employed Tara Reade frames it, "Charlie Kirk was sounding the alarm about Israel." Tucker is smart enough to know he can't go full Candace, so he replies, "I'm resigned to not ever knowing the truth." Right on the eve of Tyler Robinson's trial, of course. He then proceeds to cite JFK's assassination — which he routinely implies Israel was behind. But the truly mendacious part comes next. Tucker asserts that authorities did not investigate Robinson's motive or if "he ha[d] help." Then Tucker stated flatly, "No one seems to be asking" about Robinson's motive or possible assistance. This is a lie, either intentional or from deliberate ignorance. Investigators exhaustively probed Robinson's motives and all his communications with others who may have pushed or helped him to assassinate Charlie Kirk. Tucker knows all this information, or would know how to find it. But he also knows that his new core followers either don't know or don't care what investigators found. They just want to consume conspiracy theories and dive into rage orgies. That's why Russian propagandists — and Tucker — have been able to reach millions who are gullible and disaffected. And nothing has proven more fertile terrain for this Kremlin-produced brain rot than the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Except, in both cases, those indicted told authorities Iran WAS behind their plots. Despite Tucker's claims that Iran's attempts to assassinate Trump are only known because of Israeli intelligence, both Asif Merchant and Farhad Shakeri told investigators how they had been trained and funded by Iran. (It is worth noting that it's not clear if there was any Israeli intelligence that helped crack either case, as both indictments indicate that authorities learned about Iran's involvement from the defendants directly.) The trial just got underway last week for Asif Merchant, who has a wife and children in Iran and had spent at least a month in Iran shortly before he allegedly recruited what he thought were hit men (but were actually feds) to kill Trump. But it has been public knowledge for quite some time that Merchant told investigators that he had been trained to be a spy by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps — and that his cousin, an Iranian agent, had given him "the money to pay for the assassination." As for the other, unrelated case, that defendant told the FBI that almost immediately after Merchant's arrest became public in September 2024, the IRGC had "asked Shakeri [in mid-to-late September 2024] to put aside his other efforts on behalf of the IRGC and focus on surveilling, and, ultimately, assassinating, former President of the United States, Donald J. Trump." When Shakeri indicated would need a "'huge' amount of money," per the indictment, "IRGC Official-I said that 'we have already spent a lot of money .. . [s]o the money's not an issue,' which Shakeri understood to mean that the IRGC previously had spent a significant sum of money on efforts to murder Victim-4 [Trump] and was willing to continue spending a lot of money in its attempt to procure Victim-4's [Trump's] assassination." Shakeri has not yet been tried or even arrested, as he is believed to be in Iran. But at least one of his alleged co-conspirators was sentenced earlier this year for a related IRGC assassination plot on U.S. soil, this one targeting American journalist and activist, Masih Alinejad. None of this information regarding Merchant and Shakeri has been hidden from public view. To the extent there was Israeli intelligence involved in uncovering either plot targeting Trump is actually unclear — at least publicly — and the U.S. government's own charging documents clearly lay out that both men detailed Iran's involvement in their respective cases. In other words, Tucker lied. Again. And he could have debunked his own lie in less than 15 minutes.
