This is Mustafa Mulalira, the OC operations, CPS Mbale city. Our coordinators in Mbale made this poster, and took it to our Mbale city office. Mulalira raided them and tore the poster, and his team fired live bullets at them. Uganda Police, we’ve seen NRM supporters with huge posters of their candidate in different cities and towns, is it a crime if the poster is for the NUP candidate??

Patriotism should not be about military training. Leaders must show patriotism by example; don’t be corrupt, respect the constitution, treat citizens right, etc. Leaders must be patriotic, even as they demand the citizens to be patriotic. During the campaigns, young people were brutalised for simply holding the national flag, yet Government is now saying it wants to teach them patriotism! #KeepingTheGovtInCheck

This morning, the IGG handed over to Parliament the bi-annual performance report of the Inspectorate of Gov’t. Issues of concern include; whether there’s follow up prosecution of people arrested in different parts of the country, failure of which it just becomes showbiz. Additionally, the criteria for prosecuting some suspects while forgiving others is very confusing to the public! #KeepingTheGovtInCheck
