I will not let this ATO get lost amidst the Steph/Draymond/Horford craziness. With the Clippers content on "hiding" Garland on Gui Santos, Steve Kerr draws this play up for Gui. Split action variant where Gui is supposed to set the rip screen for Podz. But the Gui lift to supposedly set the screen is a disguised way to get Garland in the paint on a seal. Garland had five fouls at this point and is giving up 6 inches in height. Incredible belief by Kerr in Gui which he repays (in more ways this game than just this sequence).

This was a low-key pretty crucial possession in this game. When Steph has to switch onto Jokic on the ballscreen, peep at JK. He comes up, points to the corner -- signaling to Steph to switch off of Jokic and toward Braun in the corner -- in order to turn a nightmare matchup into a more palatable one. Result: JK gets the stop on Jokic.

Steph and Draymond are seasoned anti-switch-hunting operators. It may work once, but it most likely won't work again. It only takes the possession after Luka scores on the Steph switch for Steph and Draymond to shut it down the following possession through scram switching and Steph hedging out. A subtle masterclass in on-the-fly adjustments.

Broke down the Luka dagger and the Mavs did some really subtle things that made it hard for the Wolves to: 1. Prevent the switch onto Rudy 2. Send a double to help Rudy Hard to detect in real time and it looks like the Wolves made a mistake in coverage (probably still did), but the Mavs deserve HUGE credit for what they did to get Luka this matchup and shot.
