My father grew up across the street from Mississippi State & couldn’t attend the school because he is black. Today, his son is the only black Congressman representing Michigan in our nation’s Capitol. Thank you, President Donald J. Trump, for the opportunity to celebrate my family’s story and success — the American Dream. I look forward to continuing to fight to protect that Dream for future generations. 🇺🇸

The Rochester school board secretly planned a tax increase and told their own elected trustee to keep quiet. She refused and told the truth. They censured her for it, refused to stand for the Pledge, and tried to silence me when I showed up to defend her. Michigan deserves better. And I am going to deliver it. 🇺🇸

It’s late, but some fights are too important to wait until morning. This one hits home for me because my wife and all three of my kids have Lyme disease, and during Lyme Disease Awareness Month I’m thinking about every family carrying this weight and searching for answers. CNN claimed President Donald J. Trump was violating the Constitution. They were wrong. Trump was right. The Supreme Court proved it. Birthright citizenship is just another example of the radical Left hijacking the Black struggle to push their Marxist agenda.
