Why has Maria quietly removed her NOT AIRBORNE tweet? Is she trying to remove evidence of her NOT AIRBORNE disinformation campaign to help lessen the likelihood that the history books will document this aspect of her role at WHO and the likelihood she will go down in history as having contributed to untold numbers of preventable deaths and avoidable human suffering? It seems she would like to portray herself in a more positive light, ironically more as a heroic fighter of disinformation, saving lives through accurate science based information and guidance. In the clips below, Maria describes below her role at WHO is to “turn science, to turn data, to turn knowledge into evidence based guidance, into strategies….” and to provide “facts” and “information” “to prevent infections, to save lives” 🤡🤡🤡 Now she quietly and with no explanation or apology, removes traces of the “COVID is NOT AIRBORNE” disinformation campaign from Twitter, and unilaterally decides to remove the word AIRBORNE from the vocabulary at WHO. She can never be remembered as an articulate and knowledgeable WHO leader who helped protect the public with “facts” and “saved lives”….. ….but more as a flawed individual with narcissistic traits that could not acknowledge her failings, who had no empathy for the millions that died and suffered unnecessarily, and who had no insight into the magnitude of the significance of her disinformation in misleading people and governments about was needed to prevent transmission and stay safe. Just a reminder, and as a note for the historians and any journalists still interested, the whole AIRBORNE scandal at WHO was not that they were slow to recognise AIRBORNE transmission….. ….but that they conducted a coordinated and very deliberate campaign to specifically say that “NO COVID is not AIRBORNE” and to deny the AIRBORNE nature of transmission when they knew it was! When they were finally forced into facing the reality - there was no admission of fault, no apology, no explanation, no sense of urgency in rectifying the disinformation and undoing the confusion caused…. ….no they said they had advised precautions from the start and that their guidance was adequate…. ….. and then finally sought to just remove the term AIRBORNE!!! 🤡🤦🏻 (Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is yet to explain his news conference at which it all started)

💯💯💯 “If you fully understand the mechanism of transmission And your actions specifically target the measures necessary to interrupt them” Vague, non specific notions of how pathogens transmit eg via “close contact” or “through the air” can result in vague, and non specific measures, that may potentially even be misleading and dangerous. Time for WHO to get a focus on the science behind the mechanism of transmission.

The absolutely farcical inability of WHO to use the word AIRBORNE in discussions about the mode of transmission and appropriate precautions for healthcare workers continues on from COVID-19 in their Hanta virus fact sheets .….. …..public messaging is led once again by epidemiologist Maria who now uses the vague and unhelpful term “close contact” that does not clarify the mode or the science of transmission. A commonsense question about what “close contact” means from the reporter in the clip below tries to get clarification but Maria will not, or cannot, answer the question. A question so vital for knowing what situations are likely to put you at risk and what is necessary to stay safe. Reporter: “When you say close contact …could you perhaps specify what you mean by that exactly……what does close contact mean? Does that mean people who have been in physical contact ….within the same room….and just a little bit of detail on how therefore it would spread…. because how here is quite important to understand…” We need more than epidemiological terms that fail to enlighten us on the basic science of “how” a pathogen spreads from one person to another. (Note that unless scuba diving, shared air is common to everyone in close contact🤔) As the reporter says it’s a simple but important question essential to communicate what is understood!! A question that if it cannot be answered with any certainty, at least requires some discussion of the science and potential likely mechanisms. Vague and unhelpful epidemiological terms like “close contact” are not enough to formulate the most effective mitigation strategies we need for any deadly pathogen. Advising “close contact” is even more useless in deciding on what sort of “transmission based precautions” are required in healthcare….contact, droplet, airborne…?? “Life could have been so different….” It was more than turning a blind eye to the knowledge that COVID was AIRBORNE…. At WHO there were deliberate lies and attempts to suppress this scientific knowledge essential to any sort of effective response. When will the world realise the enormity of this scandal in terms of death and disability that will continue to haunt humanity forever? Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus

But we can go forward positively with that lesson learned….” The reason for the biggest failure was that the world let Mike Ryan dictate a droplet based strategy, and let him get away with orchestrating the WHO denial of AIRBORNE transmission. Another failing was that no one thought to ask Tedros what the f**k he meant by the “military language” Wanting to be positive by I’ve seen nothing to suggest Mike Ryan and the likes of John Conly have really learnt the lesson…. to move forward the world needs them to acknowledge their failings and undertake to ensure everyone on the planet understands the risks of shared air and how to make it safer.
