On America’s 250th birthday it felt appropriate to purchase a large chainsaw sculpture of a Bald Eagle. We picked it up on the way out of Deadwood this morning and Tim carried it on his shoulder like the patriot he is.

Day 2 in Switzerland was awesome. We rode the steepest cable car on Earth up to the Schilthorn, had lunch in Mürren with the most beautiful lunch backdrop that I will ever see, then finished the day back in Wengen.

Mrs. K has a bunch of hens rolling in for her 40th, complete with a 2000s themed party and a party bus headed for Western Wisconsin. The house will be chaos, so Chloe and I are posting up at a hotel instead. She gets to swim, and I get to avoid the stampede.

After 24 hours of airports, layovers, and train hopping across Switzerland, we finally made it to Wengen. MSP to JFK to Zürich, then three train changes up into the mountains. Checked into the hotel and opened the curtains to a wall of Alps. It’s so beautiful here.

Last thing I’ll say about this, is that if this happens to Mahomes, there’s a 0% chance the officials miss it.

First evening of our Upper Peninsula road trip and we arrived at the hotel in time for a dandy of a sunset. I haven’t been up here in 20+ years. It is so beautiful.

Wow. What a bizarre sequence on the Wheel of Fortune. The lady won the Million Dollar wedge but was in no hurry to decide whether to spin or solve. Her time ran out, and the next contestant solved the puzzle, winning a trip to Kissimmee.

The drive along the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi near Pepin is absurdly beautiful. One of the most scenic drives in the region.

The end of summer is a bummer, but our annual trip to the North Shore makes up for it. The drive from Duluth north is my favorite place in Minnesota. So majestic. I’m looking forward to a nice extended weekend. I hope you have a fantastic Labor Day weekend, friends! Cheers!

Finally recapped last weekend in Vegas: Wizard of Oz at The Sphere blew me away, Carbone + Craftsteak were great, had too much late‑night Taco Bell Cantina, and NFL Sunday at Circa Sportsbook was the pinnacle.

What a beautiful spot.

The storms scooted right by us in Cottage Grove with nothing but a strong breeze. Cool sky, but that is all.
