Belgium head coach, Rudi Garcia, on his conversation with Folarin Balogun after the match: "He came to talk to me. I really liked that. It is not his fault; he is not the one to blame -- that's what I told him. I really appreciate the intention that he came to see me. I appreciate this player." #monaco #belgium #usmnt #fwc2026 #fifa 📹: FIFA MEDIA

"A couple of decisions that were made are questionable... Sincerely, the fourth and fifth officials were great. They were seeing the same things that I was seeing. I had really calm and collected discussions with them, but are the referees of today up to the task of a semifinal? I hope someone has the answer for us." French national team coach Didier Deschamps after the match, commenting on the refereeing crew, which featured an all-CONCACAF team of three officials on the field. #france #spain #España #fraesp #espfra #lesblues #fifaworldcup #CONCACAF 📹: FIFA MEDIA

Cabo Verde manager Bubista spoke about the level of pride he has for his team after an incredible run in this edition of the World Cup: "Well, first of all, good evening. First things first: I feel pride in my players and in what they did. They did it with dignity and courage. And also a word to our opponent, Argentina. I think they showed why they're world champions. I think I can say our team showed how willing they were to play this game, to play this match. I don't think any other team could have scored two goals against Argentina and then taken the match into extra time. I think that shows the character of our team, how skilled our team was throughout most of the match. We knew the quality of our opponent. It was going to be a tough match, as it truly proved to be against Argentina. But I think we did our best, and we did it with bravery. And we never failed to stay true to our identity, which is why I'm so proud of what my players did throughout the match. Obviously, at times during the match, you have to have courage and you have to be well-organized because of how skilled your opponent is. But I think that being able to equalize against Argentina twice, after falling behind, shows how resilient our team is and how strong our character is as well." Much to be proud about for Cabo Verde. #FIFAWorldCup | #FIFAWorldCup2026 | #CaboVerde | #TubarõesAzuis | #WeAreCaboVerde #argentina #messi #capeverde 📹: FIFA MEDIA

Roberto Martínez, Portugal's coach, on VAR, technology, and the role it played in the disallowed goal against Croatia: "This is one of those examples where technology helps the game, because it was offside. There is no subjective opinion. I think you think. NO. It is offside. Why? The chip in the ball showed that it was Matanović's touch, then Renato Veiga's touch... The decisions and the technology today, I think they were all correct." #croatia #portugal #VAR #worldCUP #WorldCup | #HrabarBroj | #PokažiSrce | #Family | #Vatreni ❤️🔥 📹: FIFA MEDIA

"If we inspired just a few kids throughout this journey, then we did something right." Tyler Adams on the message that Mauricio Pochettino shared with the team after the defeat against Belgium: "Yeah, that tonight can't be a direct reflection of what we were trying to accomplish. Because, again, you have good days and you have bad days. And today was one of our bad days, and it got the best of us. I think we came out here with the ambition that we could go really far in this tournament. We didn't, obviously, go as far as we'd like. That being said, if we inspired just a few kids throughout this journey, then we did something right. I wish we could have won tonight. The fans deserved it. The support that we've had over the past few weeks, they deserve it. The people back home deserve it. So, yeah, I can't thank the fans enough. I can't thank this coaching staff, the support staff, and everyone that supported us throughout this journey enough. They've helped us grow, and we've gone through tough times and amazing times throughout this journey. Right now is a tough time, but we'll grow from it." #usmnt #usa #belgium #fwc2026 #MLS #fifa 📹: FIFA MEDIA

The Union U-18 side has won the Dallas Cup after defeating Botafogo in the final on penalty kicks. And, very predictably, a fight broke out at the end. Congratulations to the players, Chris Harmon, and his staff. #doop #MLS #BOTAFOGO #DALLASCUP #brasil #usymnt #usmnt 📹: Dallas Cup YouTube

YIKES. Sal Olivas earns his second yellow after a horrific challenge, only to then rip the red card out of the referee’s hand. Frustration got the best of him and likely earned him an extended suspension for his conduct. #doop #usymnt #usmnt #MLS #mlsnextpro 📹: MLS NEXTPRO | APPLE

Ok. So, it is very early and I'm only catching up now. If I got this right: 0. The organizers of the event took government money to facilitate the event, fully knowing that Messi playing was key to the money being awarded as a grant. 1. Messi and Suarez were injured, but Martino never mentioned to the organizers that they wouldn't play. The game was held without warning fans that the main reason they were there was not going to feature. 2. David Beckham was booed during the award ceremony for this friendly. 3. Martino acknowledges the failure in letting folks know Messi was not going to play. 4. They play Japan's Vissel Kobe on Wednesday after embarrassing losses and a win in Hong Kong. Yup, this preseason tour is going great and leaving a wonderful image of MLS to the rest of the world. Well done, Inter Miami. #InterMiamiCF | #mls Inter Miami CF 📷:CNN and Joel Chan

Kai Wagner since joining Birmingham City in the EFL Championship: Seven matches, seven starts, six victories, one draw. One goal, one assist, and he has played 98 percent of the possible minutes. It does not get much better than that for a January transfer. Belongs. #doop #bcfc #MLS #efl 📹: CBS Sports - EFL

I genuinely have NO IDEA what happenned here. Not sure if Alladoh made some comment or remark that was innapropriate enough to warrant a red, but my goodness does this tilt the match away from Philadelphia. I hope the pool reporters get a good answer. #doop #MLS #DCUNITED 📹: APPLE|MLS

It’s bigger than football/soccer/fútbol. Julián Carranza scores for Feyenoord and shares his condolences with his Philadelphia Union family by revealing an undershirt that reads, "R.I.P. Holden." El Rey, Julián. Wouldn’t expect anything less from him. #doop #feyenoord #MLSNEXTPRO #MLS Thank you to American Ultras Talk for alerting me of the goal and the gesture by Carranza. 📹: ESPN

Kai Wagner delivers a beautiful corner kick into the box, recording his third assist since joining Birmingham in the winter. Side note: poor for a studio host/analyst to NOT know who the players are while running a highlight/whip around show. #doop #mls #germany #bcfc 📹: CBS SPORTS/PARAMOUNT+
