What the HELL was the cameraman doing here

Victor Wembanyama lost his grandmother and then played one of the biggest games of his NBA career hours later. He's also a 21-year-old human being. I know he talks trash in a sports setting. For those mocking this situation in any way, I hope you better yourself one day

A Hartenstein foul highlight package is wild

Yeah, Mitch has it.

Stephon Castle earns the biggest honor in sports: A Mike Breen bang call

I completely get where Zach is coming from here, and I totally understand either way fans want to see it. Personally, I've found that as time passes, I remember more about the good than the bad regarding Dejounte

Nikola Topic sounds like when they mask a voice to protect their identity

Easy mistake to make, Lindy

6'10 Rashard Lewis shot 38.6% from 3 when not many bigs were shooting like that. Underrated pickup for the Spurs to bring him in as a player development coach.

When anyone says Wembanyama is only a DPOY candidate cause he's a tall guy that blocks, show them this

"Look at the lineup they have on the floor right now. Not one of these guys had ever played in a playoff game before this season. Not one."

The Day of Reckoning is upon us, friends

All-Star Game MVP Anthony Edwards repeats his earlier praise of Victor Wembanyama. "I ain't gonna lie, Wemby set the tone. He came out playing hard, and we had to follow that."

Fox keeping Wembanyama's bedtime in mind: "It's midnight, man! Let's go."

Victor Wembanyama is back on the court prepping for FIBA exhibitions and qualifiers. First game is Aug 20 against Serbia.

Still thinking about this shot

"I speak to [Coach Pop] every day before and after games. He really emphasizes taking my time, playing off two feet, and not rushing."

It was 100-99 Suns with 26.6 left at this point. Gonna be a pretty interesting L2M report tomorrow

"Castle and Vastle" was already bad, but it gets worse

Wembanyama on recovering from Finals loss: "I've had nights where it's hard to find sleep. Hard emotions. Haunting, sometimes. There's a point where you accept that you have to feel all of it. We don't want to hide from anything. This is the reality of it."

"[Pop] goes through some things we can't even imagine. I need to call him. I need to see him, talk to him. There's no way I can understand how he feels. When I talk to him, it's gonna be only a story in my head, except if I record it in secret. I need to talk him so quick."

Local broadcast caught the tail-end of the Vanderbilt dust-up. ESPN's reveal of who he was mad at won't shock you

Wemby jumps in as Stephon Castle is asked about UConn's game today

Boban: "I'm officially 7'4. I was looking [up at Wemby] like, no way." Windhorst: "I think he might be approaching 7'7."

Luka Doncic says an All-Star 1-on-1 tournament would come down to Wembanyama and Kyrie in the final. "One on one, you really can't score on him. It's really tough."

A reminder that the Spurs losing a tiebreaker to the Rockets in 2023 gave them the lottery ball combination that led to the No. 1 pick. Which gives me another reason to share this

"I've been in this league for 16 years. I've not seen a guy who works as hard as [Wembanyama] works. When you have that as your focal point, it really sets the tone for everyone else to fall in line."

Turns out I didn't give Tim Duncan enough credit. Here he is 'inventing the selfie' in 1997.

"They just got away with a lot. I'll accept a fine at this point. I thought it was some bullshit tonight. They're a good defensive team, but they ain't that damn good. I hope somebody can pull up the clips. It's the same shit every time we play a good team."

You all can be the judge

"What if San Antonio, with Fox and picks, just said fuck it? Went to Golden State and said Fox and you put the picks together in any way you want for a couple of years of Steph Curry. He goes to try to grab a couple more. It's pretty interesting."

"The most fun team for LeBron to go to is San Antonio. He solves actual issues for them and could actually win the title with them. I really like the idea of him on that team, and I wouldn't consider it a ring chase."

Update: After changing his pick from Spurs in 6 to the Wolves after one game, Perkins says he won't overreact to one game. He's sticking with Minnesota.

"I think the comparison [to Manu] is fair. We're both lefties, big guards. I've had a lot of conversations with him. More than anyone, he's been that vet that's been around the Spurs for a long time, giving me insight of what he's been through."

A rare time Coach Popovich has been emotional: Becky Hammon's HOF induction speech. People can rag on the Spurs for their "drought", but the family tree title run is alive and well.

Serious situation here as Team Spurs are informed they're officially disqualified. Allie LaForce's interview is immediately denied. 🤐
