Finished a complete CK of the damage yesterday.. 4800+- acres of 50-100% damage. Lots more acres of 10-50% damage.. so sad.. first ear I found that I pulled was a 20x42 (and not to the tip) so the potential we had was huge. Plenty of damage to buildings, creased doors, hopper bin tipped, roofs ripped off etc.. VERY costly storm.....

So.. last night was tough on the farm... Hail hit us right through the heart of the farm.... Thousands of acres look like this. Some be some worse... What does a guy do here.. try to "feed it" to get em back going or waste of time/$??? Have never experienced this before on a large scale ...

I dk if we doing the right thing?? Going to rebuild the final drives. Nothing wrong with them, but with the 45ft bn heads and 45ft corn head, tracks and hopper extensions, I feel like the final drives "get a workout".....rather do in shop vs out in the field I guess....

Well.. that wasn't forecasted... Gonna shut us down for multiple days now ... Access to fields with the trucks is gonna be a big problem when it warms up next week...even enough to drift with very little wind...

Honest question.. 780 eating 200+ corn with 18R 30 at 4.9mph (ground loss is excellent).. Why go to an X9? They sound like a pile of trouble?? And overpriced.. only benefit I consider is going to the 50ft drapers..?

Since I got to run the planter while Trevor takes a nap,, I got the automation fully set up and working WONDERFUL!!! don't have to touch anything on endrows. Just sit in seat and be a "monitor".. cool tech that works really well..!!!!

And..... Neighbor guy got stuck again🤣🤣. This is why we put TRACKS ON ALL OUR PLANTERS!! Love the DB frames but watch video at the end is the major downfall. Frame wheels just turn into anchors in mud...

We put lots of extra lights and get the best factory lighting options, because we run so many night time hrs. Worth every penny for both the visibility and when u have to work on something..

This is the first crop (rye for hay) that we are getting off the last rock project we finished.. gonna be some fine farm ground once it's completely finished.. will protill couple more times to level better and pick few more rocks and then should b ready for no-till!.
