According to someone close to Ilebaye, police officers are currently at Ilebaye’s location, but her father has refused to open his gate to them. Ilebaye’s mother had allegedly left her husband in 2024 because of domestic violence, and there is now a new wife in the house. When she was leaving, she only left with her female children, because her husband took custody of the boys. Ilebaye heard her brothers weren’t well taken care of so she went to her father’s house yesterday to see them, and that was when her father started beating her up. #FreeIlebaye

An 11 year old girl, Divine Mbarga was brutally raped to death by her friend’s father, Moadanbe Eric,on the 18th of March 2026 in Cameroon. Divine went her friend’s house to do her homework per usual and her friend’s dad was home at the time. Suddenly, Eric held her hostage and raped her through both holes from 11 pm to 3am. Eric asked his son to stand by the door, and made sure no one gets in while he continued with this heinous act. By 6 am the next morning, Eric went to check on Divine, saw that she was still breathing, then raped her again till she finally gave up. His son got to school the next day and told his friends he needed help disposing Divine’s body. They didn’t believe him until they saw the body. The friends threatened to report the boy and Eric, but the boy said they would suffer the same fate if they try it.
