And I was also shadowing the great Jimmy Burrows, the television director. Instead of having all the sitcom experience I had be a detriment, a hurdle, a barrier to hiring me. I wanted to turn that into a positive: start directing, try to be the next Jimmy Burrows” “He was kind enough to let me shadow him and signed me up with his agent, Bob Broder.
