The thing about Paul and Zenith that bugged me was that neither of them went to Rudy's 10th birthday party. Paul fighting monster on the border fine I'll give him a pass but zenith and Lilia and the other kids were just sitting at home had they gone they would have likely been with Rudy during the mass teleportation incident Or even written a letter wishing him happy birthday. But they didn't do anything. If it was Eris parents I bet things would've been very different.

Why are people saying Paul is only partly at fault in this scene? What he did is really unforgivable. If Lilia wasn't pregnant and his misdeeds didn't come to light, he would have silently kept on smashing his maid. He didn't even have remorse. Cheating in this scenario wasn't because of low-selfesteem or whatever nonsense like "couldn't control his libido". All men can control their Urges if they truly cared for their partner, which he didn't. His own wife was pregnant with his child for god's sake. This is simply a case of "I can do it and I can get away with it". He didn't deserve to marry Zenith. He deserved to be cast out of the house with Lilia.
