The standoff between Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa and Mkanya Chiwenga is no longer a behind the scenes power struggle, it is an open test of authority, and right now, the silence from the top is deafening. If Mnangagwa is truly in charge, then he must prove it. Leadership is not maintained through hesitation, whispered briefings, or carefully planted statements through allies. It is exercised through decisive action. If Chiwenga is perceived as a threat, a rival, or simply out of step with the direction of government, then the President has both the authority and the obligation to act. Anything less is not strategy, it is weakness. Expecting Chiwenga to resign is politically naive. No one entrenched at that level of power walks away voluntarily. That option does not exist in reality. The only meaningful question is whether Mnangagwa has the resolve to remove him or whether he is prepared to continue governing under the shadow of his own deputy. The use of figures like Themba Mliswa as unofficial messengers only deepens the perception of insecurity. When leaders speak through intermediaries instead of addressing the nation directly, it raises a simple question: who is actually in control? Power that has to be hinted at, defended by proxies, or negotiated in public is power already slipping. This moment demands clarity, not choreography. Either Mnangagwa asserts his authority in unmistakable terms, or he concedes, by inaction, that the balance of power is no longer firmly in his hands. There is no middle ground. In politics at this level, hesitation is not neutrality; it is surrender in slow motion. #edmustgo #saynoto2030 #defendtheconstitution

Monica Mutsvangwa, what you are experiencing is not GRIEF, it is SHAME, the painful realisation that wealth, influence, power, and political connections could not shield your own family from tragedy. You never imagined that one day your own household could face the same broken systems millions of Zimbabweans endure daily, poor emergency response, collapsing public services, and failing healthcare systems. Live with that shame and reflect deeply on it, because when tragedy finally entered your own home, power and riches could not negotiate with death. Perhaps this moment should be one of reflection, humility, accountability, and repentance. When some of us demand accountability, equal opportunity, competent leadership, and functioning public services, it is because we are trying to preserve human life. A nation, government, or political party should exist to protect life, dignity, and the future of its people. Monica, you openly support CAB3 and Kudakwashe Tagwirei while our nation’s resources, especially our land and wealth, continue being concentrated into the hands of a connected elite. Yet you constantly remind the nation of your liberation struggle credentials. If indeed you truly believed in the values of the liberation struggle, you would stand on principle and condemn corruption, greed, state capture, and the suffering of ordinary citizens. Instead, all we hear is how your husband Christopher wants billionaire status in a country drowning in poverty and inequality. Your fellow war veterans are languishing in dire conditions. Some are disabled, abandoned, without proper medication, equipment, financial support, decent housing, land, or dignity after sacrificing for this country. Many are struggling to feed their own families while politically connected elites accumulate unimaginable wealth and privileges. You remain silent while your fellow comrades suffer. While ordinary war veterans struggle for survival, politically connected individuals are rewarded with vast tracts of land and endless economic opportunities. That silence makes you complicit in the betrayal of the liberation struggle you claim to represent. Zimbabweans watch extravagant displays of wealth while citizens die daily on dangerous roads, in collapsing hospitals, and in communities without ambulances, medicines, equipment, or emergency services. Public hospitals in Harare, Chitungwiza, Bulawayo, and across the provinces are no longer symbols of healthcare and hope for many citizens, they have become places associated with helplessness and loss. That is why many people are no longer moved by performative outrage from political elites. The suffering Zimbabweans face daily has long been ignored, minimised, or politicised by those in power. I have spoken openly about my struggles after losing my father and only brother within three years. Grief changes people differently. Every family, sooner or later, will face death ,whether of a parent, sibling, it is the one visitor every household fears, yet none can escape. After loss, people need support systems. Some need emotional support, others financial support, but above all grief affects the mind, body, and spirit. Some people eventually pull through, while others are permanently broken by it. Death is cruel. Death changes everything. Even after going through the stages of grief, not everyone finds healing, acceptance, or peace. Having walked that path myself, it is not something I would wish upon anyone. I am also constantly reminded that one day it will be my turn to depart, and that same burden of loss will fall upon those I leave behind. Despite understanding grief, I still struggle to sympathise with politicians whose actions and policies continue to destroy lives while they remain unaccountable and insulated from the suffering of ordinary Zimbabweans. Let us build a society where there is no prayer beyond the grave, because help arrived while people were still alive. Monica, repent.

Mabel Chinomona is not merely an embarrassment to leadership. She is a case study in how power decays when it falls into hands that mistake noise for authority. Every time she speaks, she performs her own autopsy, exposing the incompetence, greed, and ideological bankruptcy at the heart of the Emmerson Mnangagwa system she defends. This is not leadership. It is malpractice. In a nation staggering under hunger, poverty, and hopelessness, she stands on public platforms boasting about being a “thug.” That single word is her confession, a self indictment delivered with pride. While citizens scrape for survival, she celebrates the very behaviour that has brought Zimbabwe to its knees. It is a grotesque display of detachment, a declaration that the suffering of the people means nothing to those insulated by privilege and protected by impunity. She drapes herself in the title of “war veteran” as if it were armour, yet her conduct desecrates the very legacy she claims. True liberation fighters fought for dignity, justice, and the future of the ordinary person. She fights only for relevance. True veterans carried the weight of a nation. She carries only her own self interest. Her behaviour has reduced a noble history to a hollow slogan, a shield used not to defend the nation but to escape accountability. Here is the surgical truth, when the people look at her, they do not see courage, wisdom, or leadership. They see the final symptom of a system that no longer even pretends to care. They see a voice that echoes the regime’s arrogance, a mouth that opens only to remind the nation how far its leaders have fallen. History does not forget such betrayals. Her legacy is writing itself, and it is damning, loud, and irreversible. Kunyangara fesi zvese nemoyo. #mabelchinomona #dutyeremadutye #diabolical
