Probably the most audacious thing to come out of a major studio release this decade. A dread-inducing meditation on the cyclical nature of imperial violence and conquest. This thing representing time and place stagnating. Decaying. Dying. Yet living on.

This sequence overwhelmed me with its beauty on my most recent watch. A truly magical film. Transportative. A remembered country born again.
