Locals allege the bike lost control while trying to avoid a pothole, before a goods vehicle ran over her. According to police, Medha was travelling as a pillion rider with her friend Ajay Guru when the bike lost control and she fell onto the road. A goods vehicle coming from behind then ran over her, killing her on the spot. Locals allege the accident occurred while trying to avoid a pothole and blame the poor road conditions in the area.
