Performance gains in bazza/ui vs. Base UI Finally did a side-by-side comparison... and the difference is ⚡ You can see how our implementation barely drops submenus opening when moving the cursor up/down at a fast speed. The video doesn't do it (enough) justice. We do a few things internally to make this happen -- excited to release this to the world. Soon.

Inline label creation flow, built with the upcoming bazza/ui Menu. We've had submenus forever. But why did we never consider subpages inside a menu? Nobody had a good answer... So I built it myself. 🧵

Loading state visualization for menus, built with bazza/ui Menu ⁽¹⁾ and TANSTACK Query: ⊙ First fetch: default loading spinner ⊙ Re-fetch: show cached data + inline spinner in the input It makes two different states obvious to the user: "We have nothing yet" vs. "here's what we have, but we're checking for updates." ⁽¹⁾ Releasing a preview soon. Introducing 𝚑𝚒𝚝-𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚊—a collection of Tailwind CSS utility classes for expanding the hit area of interactive elements. Small hit areas are a silent UX killer. One class fixes it. Distributed via shadcn registry - see link below.

Let's give this another go... 👀 Latest comparison of submenu performance for Base UI vs. bazza/ui <𝙼𝚎𝚗𝚞>. Updated to v1.2.0 — I was told v1.0.0 contained a temporary regression of this exact functionality. Base UI feels faster than before ⚡ Let me know what you think.
